Martin Schickel, managing director of Liebherr-France SAS, Colmar (France), has been named person of the year. Awarded by the jurors for the Grand Prix Matériels (Grand Prize for Equipment) from trade magazine Chantiers de France and French professional association DLR, this prize honours not just a year but an entire career in equipment distribution, rental and production. This journey through a profession and an industry has been closely intertwined with the Liebherr brand.

From Bauma to Brandenburg: New L 586 XPower® for Meyer Erdbau GmbH & Co. KG

At Meyer Recycling GmbH, the subsidiary of Meyer Erdbau GmbH & Co. KG from Schönwalde-Glien (Brandenburg, Germany), a special wheel loader recently started operations at the company's recycling site: The L 586 XPower® that Liebherr exhibited at Bauma 2019. At the world's largest construction machinery trade fair, the wheel loader, with just joystick steering, was a magnet for visitors. Since the fair, Liebherr had been using the L 586 XPower® for internal purposes, now the machine - weighing almost 33 tonnes - is recycling building materials for Meyer Recycling GmbH.

Liebherr MK 88-4.1 mobile construction crane handover in Andalusia

Grúas Alhambra, a Spanish lifting and transport service company based in Granada, continues to opt for Liebherr and has taken delivery of a new MK 88-4.1 mobile construction crane.

Liebherr Overhauls Landing Gears for Austral

Liebherr-Aerospace has been selected by Austral Líneas Aereas to overhaul the landing gears of the airline’s Embraer E-Jet E190 fleet. It is the first major contract for Liebherr in Argentina. The overhaul activities have already started in July 2020 and are performed by Liebherr-Aerospace’s customer service facility in Saline, Michigan (USA).

Whether rescuing people from high-rise buildings using turntable ladder or positioning heavy loads above and on the rooftops, there is no time to think twice. Historic backdrop – Wilden hoists work platform out of the river using Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane

Work platforms are regularly placed into the water of the River Wupper in Wuppertal for the annual inspections of the car and pedestrian bridges over it. At the start of September, Wilden Kran - Vermietung GmbH hoisted a telescopic platform out of the river in front of an historic backdrop.

Cooperation for greener energy

Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock GmbH together with Aibel AS has signed a contract for the delivery of a cylinder-luffing crane, type RL 2600-35 Lit. The company TenneT TSO GmbH commissioned Aibel AS to build the offshore platform DolWin epsilon on which the Liebherr crane will be used for supply and maintenance tasks on the German North Sea.

HKV’s Liebherr LR 1500 crawler crane extremely flexible for handling heavy loads and erecting construction cranes, bridges and wind turbines

“Powerful – compact – simple” was the slogan used by Liebherr to advertise the LR 1500 crawler crane at its market launch during the Bauma 2016. The overall concept of the 500-tonne lattice boom crane is designed for simplicity in everything and great economy. By completing two jobs in one week, HKV Schmitz + Partner GmbH from Cologne proved that the Liebherr concept is a successful one.

Liebherr Supplies Air Compressor for SAIC Maxus EUNIQ 7

On September 13, 2020, the Chinese car manufacturer SAIC Maxus Automotive Co., Ltd. (SAIC Maxus) launched in Shanghai its new MPV model EUNIQ 7 with Liebherr technology on board: The Liebherr fuel cell air compressor is part of the PROME P390 fuel cell system built into this new car.
