Wind farm maintenance work – CEZ purchases Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane
CEZ Group in Romania has purchased a Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane and an LTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane. The subsidiary of the Czech CEZ Group runs the largest onshore wind farm in Europe. The new machines will be used for the maintenance and repair work there and for modernising the CEZ wind farm.

According to the motto ‘Strongly connected’, Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH invited 3,000 customers to its plant in Southern Germany at 13 and 14 June. The manufacturer unveiled new crane models from its crawler and mobile crane division. During an open house day on 16 June, Liebherr invited employees’ families and friends and presented impressive mobile and crawler crane demonstrations.

75 metre telescopic boom – Liebherr unveils new LTM 1230-5.1 at its customer days
"Long, powerful and versatile" is Liebherr's description of its new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane at its customer days 2018 at the manufacturing plant in Ehingen. The highlights include the length and lifting capacity of the telescopic boom. Its predecessor, the LTM 1200-5.1, also had one of the longest telescopic booms in this crane class at 72 metres. The new 230-tonne crane not only delivers an extra 3 metres in length but also an average of 20 percent greater lifting capacity. In addition to a multi-functional folding jib, a 43 m fixed jib is also available. The Liebherr innovations VarioBase®, VarioBallast, ECOmode and ECOdrive mean that crane operators can use the new LTM 1230-5.1 with even more safety and efficiency.

Designed for maximum performance: Liebherr unveils new 800-tonne LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane
Liebherr is set to unveil a new 800-tonne crawler crane to visitors from all over the world at its 2018 customer days – the LR 1800-1.0. Outstanding lifting capacities and low cost transport around the world are the main features of the new large crane. It has been designed as a particularly powerful industrial crane for jobs with a luffing jib and derrick system, for example for power plant construction and the petrochemicals industry. For the first time the boom system features lattice sections with three system dimensions which can be telescoped into each other for transport.

Al Faris takes delivery of the first Liebherr LRT rough-terrain cranes in the Middle East
Al Faris Equipment Rentals took delivery of two new Liebherr rough-terrain cranes at its company headquarters in Dubai in April – an LRT 1090-2.1 and an LRT 1100-2.1. These are the first of the new Liebherr series to enter use in the Middle East. They are part of a major order from Al Faris for a total of 27 Liebherr cranes which will be delivered before the end of this year – 14 LRT cranes and 13 LTM cranes with a total value of over 23 million euros.

Weiland adds Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane to its fleet
Weiland Kran und Transport GmbH has extended its fleet with a new Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane. The company attaches a great deal of value to the fast set-up times and great flexibility of its new eight-axle crane. Weiland will be taking delivery of another new Liebherr mobile crane in April. The new four-axle LTM 1090-4.2 was ordered as a result of its extremely attractive economical features.

Liebherr MK 140 mobile construction crane receives IFOY AWARD
Liebherr has won the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award with its MK 140 mobile construction crane. The five-axle crane underwent various tests for a week prior to submission before a jury of around 30 experts. The mobile construction crane can be seen at the CeMAT, the world’s leading trade fair for intralogistics, in Hanover from 23 to 27 April, 2018.

Meister takes delivery of new Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane
The demands on the boom systems for installing glass facades are changing. Meister GmbH based in Dieburg is increasingly receiving orders which require the boom to have a higher lifting capacity and an extended length. That was reason enough for the crane specialist to add to its mobile crane fleet so as to react to market demand. As a result of its frequent jobs on high-rise buildings in constricted areas, Meister GmbH decided to buy a new Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane. Claudia Meister, the owner and Managing Director, and Jens Ochmann, Technical & Organisation Manager, took delivery of the new 60-tonne crane at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen.

18 new Liebherr mobile cranes expand operational base of Rezayat Sparrow
Liebherr has received a major order from Rezayat Sparrow: the company based in Saudi Arabia has ordered 18 new Liebherr mobile cranes to mark its 40th anniversary. The order includes LTM mobile cranes from 70 tonnes to 500 tonnes capacity. The first cranes from the order were already delivered in January.

Regel modernising its crane fleet with new Liebherr mobile crane LTM 1500-8.1
Albert Regel GmbH was on the lookout for a new 500-tonne crane for its Germany-wide rental business. The specialist for heavy haulage, crane and assembly logistics is already operating two Liebherr mobile cranes of type LTM 1500-8.1 in its fleet. Besides good experience, the service provided by Liebherr played a crucial role in the purchase decision. The older of the two Liebherr 500-tonne cranes will be replaced by a new one. In comparison to the 14 year old crane, the new 8-axle machine comes with telescopic guying and the option of fully disassembling the telescopic boom.

Scholl expands fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 mobile crane
Karl Scholl GmbH based in Heidelberg took delivery of a new LTM 1070-4.2 in mid-March. The 50 metre telescopic boom was a major criterion in deciding in favour of the 70-tonne crane from Liebherr. Managing Director Yvonne Scholl and her partner Andreas Merkel, who is responsible for external technical services, travelled to the manufacturing plant in Ehingen to take delivery of the new crane.

It's all about the mix – Liebherr crawler crane erects mixing plant
A Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane operated by heavy haulage and transport contractor Emil Egger AG installed a silo with a capacity of 470 cubic metres in Oberriet, a Swiss municipality on the border with Austria. The Betomat 5/470 mixing plant it installed is also manufactured by the Liebherr Group.
