Not only can the winners count themselves among the world's best mobile crane operators, they will also receive attractive prizes for their company:

The vouchers are valid for an unlimited period and can be used flexibly for several purchases in the Liebherr Shop.

But it's about more than just prizes - the competition is fiercely contested and the winner not only deserves fame and honour, but also a place on the throne of the mobile crane elite.

Your way to the throne

1. Registration

Register via our website form, which you can find under "Register now". You will then receive confirmation of your registration by e-mail.

The registration phase ended on 15 June 2025.

2. Upload

In your registration confirmation you will find a link and a code for uploading your application video or application photo. The image material should show why you have what it takes to be a champion.

3. Voting

The videos and photos submitted will be rated in a public vote. Share the voting to get as many votes as possible. Who makes it to the regional preliminary round depends on both the number of votes and the judgement of a jury.

4. Preliminary round and final

A preliminary round will be held in parallel at five Liebherr sites. In each case, five participants with the most votes and the best jury rating will compete against each other. The respective winners of these preliminary rounds will travel to Ehingen to prove themselves in the final on our factory premises.

No, only crane operators can take part if they are competing for one of our customers.

When the voting phase begins, you can share your uploaded video with your community. Convince them to vote for your video once a day.

Based on the location of your company, you will be assigned to one of five regions for participation:

  • North America
  • South America
  • Australia
  • Europe
  • Africa, Middle East and Asia

Depending on the number of votes and the jury rating, five people per region can qualify to take part in the preliminary round.

The preliminary decisions will take place in the following regions, depending on the company headquarters:

  • North America: Newport News (USA) - September 19, 2025
  • South America: Guaratinguetá (Brazil) - September 11, 2025
  • Australia: Adelaide (Australia) - September 25, 2025
  • Europe: Azuqueca de Henares (Spain) - September 18, 2025
  • Africa, Middle East and Asia: Dammam (Saudi Arabia) - September 30, 2025

The five best crane operators from the preliminary rounds will be invited to the final in Ehingen (Germany) in November 2025.

In the Game of Cranes, all tasks are set in English.

If you have qualified for the preliminary round or the final, we will cover the costs of your journey. We will organise a hotel room for you for the duration of the preliminary rounds or the final. You can find more information on this in the conditions of participation when you register.

Game of Cranes features tasks exclusively related to Liebherr mobile cranes. During the regional qualifiers, all crane types produced by Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH – from the LTM 1070-4.2 to the LTM 1160-5.2 – may be included. Crawler cranes are not part of Game of Cranes.

For the final in Ehingen, additional crane types (excluding crawler cranes) may also be used.
