Liebherr crawler cranes build second largest wind farm in Switzerland

In an eight-week operation, two Liebherr crawler cranes from Emil Egger AG, based in St. Gallen, Switzerland, have erected the country's second largest wind farm. The six turbines now installed, manufactured by Enercon, are expected to produce 22 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually. An LR 11000 as well as an LR 1700-1.0 have completed the wind turbines, which are almost 140 metres high.

Liebherr LTM 1150-5.3 allows hotel to stay open during construction work

In Homburg, Saarland, the company Steil Kranarbeiten GmbH & Co KG has made it possible for the Schlossberg Hotel to stay open during construction work at the site by using a Liebherr LTM 1150-5.3 mobile crane. No other mobile crane in the required load class would have been compact enough to achieve this feat. Access to the hotel for guests, suppliers and, above all, emergency vehicles had to be guaranteed at all times.

WarnowKran takes delivery of its first mobile construction crane from Liebherr

The Rostock-based company WarnowKran Kranservice GmbH took delivery of its first mobile construction crane, a Liebherr MK 88-4.1, at its recent family day. This gave customers, partners, and interested visitors the opportunity to experience the crane live on site. By purchasing the MK, the company is further expanding its position as a crane solutions provider within the Baltic Sea region.

At the 40th Matexpo: Koen Ricaert takes delivery of new Liebherr mobile construction crane

The Belgian trade fair Matexpo is where the European construction industry meets every year, with a focus on road construction, civil engineering and construction vehicles. Liebherr factory dealer Van Der Spek was on hand to show a MK 88-4.1 mobile construction crane, an 81 K.1 fast-erecting crane and a 270 EC-B 12 tower crane, while Belgian company Koen Ricaert BV used the fair to add an MK 88-4.1 to its fleet.

New Liebherr mobile and crawler cranes to expand Milplan fleet

In June, two new Liebherr LRT 1100-2.1 cranes arrived in Brazil. These rough-terrain mobile cranes are part of Milplan’s fleet expansion project. In addition, a new LTR 1100, a 100-tonne class telescopic crawler crane from Liebherr, completes Milplan’s order. These machines will be used for construction operations and electromechanical assembly projects, pipeline construction, maintenance shutdowns in mining, steel, energy, as well as the oil and gas industries.

Treffler strengthens crane fleet with Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 mobile crane

Treffler GmbH has taken delivery of a new LTM 1350-6.1 from Liebherr. With the 350-tonner, the Bavarian company strengthens its crane fleet. The new mobile crane replaces an LTM 1300-6.1 and is Treffler's entry into the class of telescopic cranes with boom guying.

A mobile crane heads to Istanbul: New LTM 1120-4.1 for crane rental company Servet Coşkun Vinç

Turkish crane rental company Servet Coşkun Vinç has taken delivery of a new Liebherr mobile crane, the LTM 1120-4.1. The new 120 tonner adds a 4-axle crane to the company’s fleet alongside its existing cranes in the 100 and 200 tonne class. The LTM 1120-4.1’s lifting capacity of nine tonnes on the 66 metre telescopic boom makes it ideal for erecting tower cranes and for industrial use.

Hack expands crane fleet with Liebherr LTM 1110-5.1

Hack Schwerlastservice GmbH has taken delivery of a new LTM 1110-5.1 mobile crane. With the Liebherr 110-tonne crane, the Neuwied-based company is expanding its fleet. The good order situation in the 5-axle range required an additional crane in this class. Hack decided on the LTM 1110-5.1 because it combines powerful lifting capacities and a long telescopic boom with high mobility and flexibility.

For the fleet of the future: The Erectors buy their first LTM 1300-6.3

Crane rental company The Erectors Hoisting and Rigging Inc. has added the new LTM 1300-6.3 to its fleet. This is a mobile crane that has the longest boom in its class and can be carried at 12 tonnes axle load. In future, it will be used for erecting and dismantling tower cranes and as a taxi crane in crane rental.

With new order: Mediaco will have largest fleet of Liebherr mobile construction cranes

During the JDL Expo exhibition in Beaune, France, the Mediaco Group and Liebherr reached an agreement to order ten mobile construction cranes. With this order, Mediaco totals a fleet of 60 MK cranes, the largest fleet of MK mobile construction cranes in the world.

Grúas Alhambra takes delivery of first Liebherr LTM 1300-6.3 mobile crane on the Iberian Peninsula

With the procurement of the Liebherr LTM 1300-6.3 mobile crane, the Spanish crane company Grúas Alhambra is becoming a pioneer: It takes over the first unit of this new type on the Iberian Peninsula. The innovative all-terrain crane with a 90-metre telescopic boom is ideal for the company’s current needs, as it was looking for a crane with greater lifting capacity and height. Grúas Alhambra will use the LTM 1300-6.3 for refinery work, wind turbine maintenance and many other applications thanks to its versatility.

Reducing CO₂ emissions: Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane installs silo at cement plant

Heidelberg Materials is investing heavily in the reduction of CO₂ emissions in cement production. A Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane from the crane and heavy haulage contractor Schmidbauer GmbH & Co. KG has now installed a silo at the Schelklingen cement plant for storing aggregates that can reduce the proportion of clinker in the cement.
