Liebherr opens sales and service location for mobile cranes in Colombia

Fast, good quality service all over the world – this is one of the main factors behind Liebherr's success. To continue to improve the range of services for mobile and crawler cranes in South America, a new sales and service location with Liebherr personnel was opened in April 2015 in Bogotá (Colombia). The aim is to be able to react even more quickly to the needs of the market and customers. The neighbouring market in Ecuador is also being covered and steadily grown from there.

The new location is operated by Liebherr Colombia SAS, which was founded in October 2011, initially as a sales and service company for mining equipment. The company's head office, which employs around 50 people, is in the port city of Barranquilla in the north of the country. Port mobile cranes are now also sold from there. Since 2012 Liebherr has also had a mixed sales and service branch office in the centrally located capital of Bogotá, which is home to the Tower Cranes, Deep Foundation Machines and now also Mobile and Crawler Cranes Product Divisions.

This new location marks Liebherr's reaction to rising demand from the mining, energy and oil processing industries and also to long term infrastructure projects. The local spare parts warehouse and four trained local service engineers ensure fast delivery and reaction times.
