Components product segment
In this segment, the Liebherr Group specialises in the development, design, manufacture and reconditioning of high-quality industrial components for mechanical, hydraulic and electric drive technology, and control technology. Liebherr-Component Technologies AG, with its registered office in Bulle (Switzerland), is responsible for the coordination of all activities in the product segment.
Versatile product portfolio
The broad product range includes combustion engines, injection systems, hydraulic pumps and motors, hydraulic cylinders and piston accumulators, slewing bearings, gearboxes and rope winches, energy storage systems, electrical drive systems such as switchgears, frequency converters or electrical machines, electronic and sensor components, and software. The high-quality components are used in cranes, construction machines, mining, agriculture and forestry, maritime applications, wind turbines, transport and other applications. As part of the Liebherr Group, the components product segment utilises synergy effects from various product areas in order not only to develop innovative solutions in close cooperation, but also to test them on Liebherr’s own test benches and in Liebherr machines.
Focus on the customer
Thanks to the high level of vertical integration and the use of modern and flexible production facilities, Liebherr is always able to offer customised solutions to their customers across the world. Many years of industry and application experience enable Liebherr to provide customers with suitable solutions/components – from the product idea and development, production and commissioning, through to series production.
As part of the Reman programme, used components such as combustion engines, hydraulic components and gearboxes are reconditioned to industrial standards to make them as good as new. Reconditioning can cut raw material and energy consumption by up to 75 %. The carbon footprint is also reduced by over 50 %. Liebherr is thereby making an important contribution not just to reducing costs, but also to conserving resources.
The offering is rounded off by customised, comprehensive services across the world. Customers benefit from short response times, original spare parts with fast availability, and a comprehensive training programme. This way, Liebherr guarantees the performance of the components in this product segment over their entire life cycle.
