Maximum versatility: the Liebherr telescopic handler as an all-rounder at ÖAMTC
The ÖAMTC Driving Technique Centre Innsbruck / Zenzenhof relies on the T 36-7s as the multifunctional heart of its operations

Since early 2024, the Driving Technique Centre Innsbruck / Zenzenhof, operated by the Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club (ÖAMTC), has been using a Liebherr T 36-7s telescopic handler for site management. With this machine, the centre has found a single all-purpose unit that covers a wide range of demands. Whether clearing snow, working off-road or moving materials in the workshop – the telescopic handler is the multifunctional heart of the facility.
The Driving Technique Centre has been based in Innsbruck / Zenzenhof for more than 20 years. Where a Unimog and later a tractor once kept the extensive grounds in shape, state-of-the-art Liebherr technology now delivers the necessary efficiency. After an intensive trial phase, it quickly became clear: the T 36-7s is the ideal machine for ÖAMTC’s complex requirements.

One machine, five functions
The T 36-7s proves itself daily across a wide variety of working environments – from clearing snow and spreading salt through to transporting pallets. By adapting the centre’s existing attachments (snow plough, salt spreader and sweeper) and combining them with Liebherr’s own attachments (forks and light material bucket), the team now has five different applications at its disposal. The quick coupler allows attachments to be swapped in a matter of seconds. In no time, the T 36-7s switches from snow plough to salt spreader or sweeper.
For us, the telescopic handler is a true multifunctional tool that supports us in the most varied daily tasks – it’s a tractor, forklift, wheel loader, tow vehicle and sweeper all in one.”
About the T 33-7s
The job

Compact design for tight spaces
Despite its impressive performance, the T 36-7s stands out for its compact overall height. This allows the ÖAMTC team to drive directly into the centre’s underground car park, so the machine can be parked under cover during winter and materials can be delivered straight to the workshop without reloading. The standard all-wheel steering also makes the telescopic handler exceptionally agile – a major advantage when clearing snow or manoeuvring through narrow passages on the site.

Top performance in any weather and on any terrain
The operating environment at Zenzenhof is demanding. Thanks to its off-road capability, the Liebherr telescopic handler effortlessly takes on the preparation of the off-road tracks. It also plays to its strengths in logistics: the telescopic boom makes it possible to place pallets deep inside storage containers that cannot be entered by the machine itself. Speed is another strong point – long distances across the extensive site are covered in a fraction of the time required by conventional forklifts or pallet trucks.
With the decision to invest in the Liebherr T 36-7s, the ÖAMTC Driving Technique Centre Innsbruck / Zenzenhof has found a versatile and future-proof logistics solution. The combination of compact design, agility and the ability to flexibly use both existing and new attachments makes the telescopic handler an indispensable partner – in any weather, for any task.
