The new versatile Liebherr R 918 crawler excavator

With an operating weight between 19 and 22 tonnes, the new Liebherr R 918 crawler excavator is perfect for earthmoving applications and making trenches and pipe laying. A large selection of attachments also makes the machine extremely flexible for more specific work. This machine is the latest addition to the range of earthmoving crawler excavators developed and produced at Liebherr-France SAS in Colmar (France).

Liebherr LR 1350/1 crawler crane involved in rotary kiln construction

The HeidelbergCement AG cement works in Schelklingen, Baden-Württemberg, has invested in a new rotary kiln system 68 metres in length. The main challenge in the project was to hoist the five components of the rotary kiln up to a height of 11 metres in a restrictive space. A Liebherr LR 1350/1 crawler crane from Belgian crane and heavy haulage contractor Sarens managed the job with aplomb. Furthermore a new Liebherr mobile crane is on the way to the Australian branch of the company. The new 8-axle LTM 1450-8.1 was ordered as a result of good past experience with crane manufacturer Liebherr.

Trio of Liebherr mobile cranes scales mountains

Austrian crane and heavy haulage contractor Felbermayr has erected a wind farm on a range of medium-height mountains in Styria. The 13 turbines made by Enercon were completed over the summer months. Transporting the turbine components to the site at an altitude of 1700 metres presented the main challenge to the Felbermayr teams.

Liebherr crawler tractor PR 766: Update in the 50 tonne category

The new PR 766 crawler tractor offers the best conditions for continuing the success story of Liebherr crawlers in the 50 tonne category. With operating weights of between 46,200 kg and 54,200 kg, the PR 766 is the successor model to the successful PR 764. The latest model in the crawler tractor generation is driven by a powerful 310 kW (422 hp) 8-cylinder V-engine.

New telescopic handler series: Liebherr presents 8 new models in 26 different versions

In the course of 2018, Liebherr will launch 8 new telescopic handler models in a total of 26 different versions. The new Liebherr telescopic handlers will be available in two model lines: First, the top-of-the-range models for materials handling or for production applications (identified by the suffix S). Liebherr T 236: New 100-tonne mining truck

Delivery of first Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane

Liebherr delivered the first LTM 1450-8.1 at the start of October. It went to Gummersbach-based crane contractor Ley-Krane GmbH und Co. KG, which has added the new 450-tonne mobile crane to its fleet.

Liebherr-Aerospace Inaugurates Landing Gear Assembly Hall in Laval (Canada)

Liebherr-Canada Ltd, Aerospace and Transportation Systems Division has inaugurated its new facility in Laval, near Montreal (Canada) on October 12th, 2017. The site accommodates the final assembly and testing of the landing gear for the Bombardier C Series aircraft.

New Liebherr L 576 XPower® wheel loader joins the fleet of recycling specialist Hans Dömkes GmbH

A new Liebherr wheel loader, the L 576 XPower®, recently began operation for Hans Dömkes GmbH, a company rich in tradition. This specialist firm, in the building materials recycling business, mentions the low fuel consumption and excellent build quality of the Liebherr wheel loaders as important criteria for the purchase. “Our new L 576 XPower® moves around 1,500 tonnes of material a day. Despite the particularly harsh operating conditions, it needs just 15.5 litres of diesel per hour of operation,” enthuses Managing Director Udo Dömkes. He also values the trustworthy cooperation and reliable service of WBI Bau- und Industriemaschinen GesmbH, Liebherr’s regional sales and service partner.

Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse Opens New Manufacturing Building at its Campsas Site

Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, the Liebherr Group’s center of excellence for air management systems, has added a new building at its site in Campsas near Toulouse. The site specializes in manufacturing mechanical precision parts for air management systems.
