Ibarrondo receives first Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom mobile crane with new SL20F2 boom system in Spain

The Ibarrondo Group has purchased a Liebherr LG 1750 for erecting wind turbines. The new 750 tonne lattice boom mobile crane features the new SL20F2 boom system which is designed for the low cost erection of heavy equipment on wind turbine towers up to 100 metres in height. The elimination of a derrick system means fast set up, easy manoeuvring from one wind power generator to the next and a reduction in the number of transport units.

23 Liebherr tower cranes at the airport expansion project in Santiago de Chile

The Liebherr Tower Cranes Division is once again proving its expertise in airport construction: A total of 23 Liebherr tower cranes are being used for the extension of the "Santiago Nueva Pudahuel International" in Chile. 15 Flat-Top cranes and three High-Top cranes have already been assembled and are providing optimum load handling.

First Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane in the Baltic states

Crane contractor JSC "Strele logistics" has added to its fleet with a new Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane. The long telescopic boom, outstanding load charts and the economy of the Liebherr single-engine concept on the eight-axle crane were the main points behind the investment in the new crane.

TPV adds new Liebherr R 914 Compact crawler excavator to its fleet

The Alsace-based construction company TPV (Travaux Publics du Vignoble) from Sundhoffen has acquired a new Liebherr R 914 Compact crawler excavator with Stage IV / Tier 4f engine. The new compact excavator is to be used primarily for earthmoving tasks, the development of water supply networks and the construction of outdoor areas for private homes.

Liebherr lattice boom mobile crane hoists giant lock gates

All six gates on the barrage of the fishing and yacht dock had to be removed for the refurbishment of the dock gates in Büsum. A Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom mobile crane had a genuine challenge on its hands, namely hoisting the 90 tonne steel gates. With a radius of 67 metres, the massive crane had to manage a gross load of over 100 tonnes.

Liebherr mobile cranes install a weight of 180 tonnes in a tandem hoist

Teamwork in our home town – in June two Liebherr mobile cranes replaced a 20 year old debarking drum at the Sappi paper factory in Ehingen. This is also the location of the Liebherr manufacturing plant for mobile and crawler cranes. An LTM 1350-6.1 from Rieger & Moser and an LTM 1400-7.1 from Fricke-Schmidbauer worked together to carefully hoist the 90 tonnes load.

Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 mobile crane installs storage and retrieval vehicles for high-bay shelving warehouse

A Liebherr mobile crane operated by heavy haulage contractor Prangl installed several large storage and retrieval vehicles in a new high-bay shelving warehouse in Frastanz, Austria, a village in the west of the country near the border with the Principality of Lichtenstein. An LTM 1350-6.1 with a 42-metre luffing jib completed the work.

More power for Brazilian industrial company Montcalm from a Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane

Completely ready for industrial and assembly work – that is what the new LTM 1250-5.1 is facing. The mobile crane was officially handed over to Paulo Simonsen, Managing Director of the Brazilian company Montcalm Montagens Industriais S/A. on 14th of June at the Customer Days at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen. Montcalm will use its new 250-tonne crane exclusively for the company's own jobsites.

Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane installs new bells on Paderborn Cathedral

A Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane operated by Hofmann Kran-Vermietung GmbH & Co. KG played a major role in the musical enhancement of the chimes at Paderborn Cathedral. The eight existing bells were supplemented by two additional ones. The smaller one, weighing in at just one tonne, was no challenge for the 500-tonne crane. The installation of the larger bell, weighing 13.5 tonnes and with a diameter of 2.7 metres, on the other hand, demanded precision from both the crane and the installation team.

Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock GmbH has been awarded the contract by the Oslo-based company Offshore Heavy Transport (OHT) and China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) to deliver a heavy lift crane for a new generation semi-submersible offshore windfarm foundation installation vessel. On July 6th CMHI and Liebherr signed the contract in China.

Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock GmbH has been awarded the contract by the Oslo-based company Offshore Heavy Transport (OHT) and China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) to deliver a heavy lift crane for a new generation semi-submersible offshore windfarm foundation installation vessel. On July 6th CMHI and Liebherr signed the contract in China. The crane will be produced and tested at the company’s production site in the port of Rostock in Germany.
