Two of seven: The Liebherr R 930 and R 926 crawler excavators complete the Generation 8 series
Since the beginning of the year, Liebherr has launched seven crawler excavator models under 50 tonnes. All the platforms developed and produced by Liebherr-France SAS in Colmar are represented on the Liebherr stand at the Bauma exhibition. The R 930, the mid-weight model of the series, is a brand new Liebherr crawler excavator for earthmoving works.

Facelift: Liebherr mobile construction crane MK 88-4.1
Liebherr has updated its existing four-axle crane and will present the new MK 88-4.1 at Bauma 2019. The additional number at the end of the product name reflects the 4 axles and that it is the first version of this crane type. Featuring proven MK technology, this mobile construction crane is even more powerful and flexible than its predecessor. This is especially evident in a luffed jib position.

A new LPI gearbox generation from Liebherr
At this year's Bauma, Liebherr presents its vast product portfolio of planetary gearboxes and rope winches. The new LPI gearbox generation in particular is showcased. The new series includes seven basic gearboxes from LPI 600 to LPI 1200, covering a torque range from 20,000 Nm to 335,000 Nm. Large tailor-designed gearboxes with a dynamic torque of up to 2,300,000 Nm can also be produced.

Liebherr further expands its production range portfolio of hydraulic cylinders
Liebherr unveils a new hydraulic cylinder series for a pressure range of up to 260 bar at Bauma 2019. This not only expands Liebherr’s existing series-production portfolio, but also introduces a complete cylinder portfolio to cover different industry-specific requirements in addition to the well-established 380 bar series-production range and the ISO 6022-compliant industrial range. Liebherr is presenting a comparison of all three ranges to trade visitors in Booth 326 of Hall A4.

Long, powerful and versatile is how Liebherr presented its new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane at its Customer Days last year in Ehingen. Swiss company Christen was quickly persuaded by the features of the 230-tonne crane with its 75 metre telescopic boom and immediately placed an order for one. The management team took delivery of the first model of this new crane at the manufacturing plant on the River Danube in mid-March this year.

Frost protection for King Ludwig II’s palace garden
Every autumn, when the streams of visitors to Herrenchiemsee Palace start to dwindle, the park next to this magnificent building on the island in Chiemsee is made ready for winter. In addition to clearing thousands of plants in the gardens, this also includes protecting the fountains there from frost. A mobile crane owned by BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH was driven from the company’s headquarters to the largest of the Bavarian lakes in November with the job of hoisting large scaffold hoods over these fountains, some of which are enormous.
