Canadian crane company LaPrairie calls Liebherr LRT cranes winners in their books

LaPrairie group of companies, based in Western Canada, invested in nine new Liebherr machines recently. For their businesses in the construction and mining industry as well as in the oil and gas sector, especially the new Rough Terrain cranes are important add-ons to the fleet. The LRT cranes are used in long-term jobs to free the existing fleet of All-Terrain cranes for their typical taxi crane jobs. Rough Terrain cranes are usually requested by Laprairies’ customers without crane drivers. Therefore the easiness-of-use and the safety of crane and operator were some of the decisive arguments during the selection process for the Rough Terrain Cranes.

Liebherr-Aerospace to Overhaul Landing Gear Systems for Fuji Dream Airlines

Liebherr-Aerospace has signed a long-term service agreement in Japan: The Original Equipment Manufacturer will cover the overhaul of the landing gear systems of the 10 Embraer E170 family aircraft from Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA).

Liebherr LR 11350 and LR 11000 crawler cranes working in tandem

An industrial port was opened in May 1900 at Kehl in Baden-Württemberg. In May this year, this small border town on the German side of the River Rhine near Strasbourg was the venue for another impressive event – two crawler cranes moved cargo weighing around 900 tonnes onto a barge in a spectacular tandem hoist. “Never before in almost 120 years of its history has such a heavy item been handled at our Rhine port using cranes”, says Jürgen Preiss. And Preiss, a member of the port management team, knows exactly what he’s talking about. The load he is referring to was the core piece of a gigantic tunnel drilling machine built by Herrenknecht based in Schwanau, Baden-Württemberg. Two powerful crawler cranes from the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen were required to tackle this job.

Salgert takes delivery of the first Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 compact cranes with RemoteDrive

Salgert GmbH took delivery of two new Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 compact cranes. These are the first cranes to feature RemoteDrive. A control desk enables the operator to manoeuvre the crane from outside, a massive advantage on constricted sites.

CIMC Raffles Yantai ordered Liebherr Board Offshore Crane

Rostock (Germany), August 2019 – Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock GmbH together with CIMC Raffles signed a contract concerning the delivery of a board offshore crane, type BOS 2600. The company BP will use the crane for supply and maintenance tasks on its Jack Up accommodation platform next to the African west coast.

New LTM 1230-5.1 fast and flexible for erecting power lines

High lifting capacity values, an extremely long telescopic boom for its class and a series of innovative features such as VarioBase® and VarioBallast® – all these are combined on the new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane which has recently been launched by Liebherr. More and more of this new all-rounder from Ehingen can now be seen on construction sites. The new model made its debut at the customer days last year. That was when Wasel GmbH based in Bergheim near Cologne became one of the first companies to place an order for it. In fact, this large crane contractor and heavy haulage logistics company placed an order for two new cranes. One of the white and blue mobile cranes has been in action for the last few weeks erecting two new power lines.

Liebherr crawler crane in action inside giant cooling tower

A Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane was in action completing modification work in one of the cooling towers at Weisweiler power plant in North Rhine- Westphalia. Crane and heavy haulage logistics contractor Wasel based in Bergheim near Cologne received an order to replace parts of the pipework system over the top edge of the massive cooling tower. The crane was erected with an impressive roller head height of 182 metres to carry out this job.

Entry into Service: Liebherr-Aerospace on Board the E195-E2

On September 12, 2019, Embraer’s E195-E2 has been delivered to launch operator AZUL. Liebherr supplies major systems and components for this new aircraft.

Liebherr-MCCtec Vertriebs- und Service GmbH is investing approximately 20 million euros in a new subsidiary in Hamburg Port. The official handover took place on 6th September, 2019.

Liebherr-Aerospace on Board VRT-500

Liebherr-Aerospace announced at the 16th MAKS Airshow, that it has signed an agreement with VR-Technologies, a subsidiary of Russian Helicopters, to be the supplier of the environmental control system for their new civil helicopter VRT-500.
