    Economical, cost-effective addition to all-terrain crane fleet – Steil’s new LTF 1060-4.1

    The Steil Kranarbeiten Group based in Trier has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTF 1060-4.1 telescopic truck-mounted crane. The 60-tonne crane with a 4-axle truck chassis is a cost-effective addition to the crane fleet. It will particularly be used for crane work which involves lengthy journeys to the site.

    From setting up the site at the reactor to lifting in environmental service employees, to the (dis)assembly of diverse scaffolding, the MK 140 Plus Liebherr mobile construction crane has been in constant operation at a chemical plant. In the German city of Stade, a reactor was shut down, cleaned, serviced and overhauled.

    The largest mobile crane in Finland – Helaakoski adds used Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane to its fleet

    Finnish crane and transport contractor J. Helaakoski Oy has significantly extended its range of services upwards by purchasing a Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1. Previously a 500-tonne machine was the company's most powerful crane. Helaakoski decided to buy a used crane straight from the manufacturer Liebherr. The LTM 1750-9.1 is now also the most powerful mobile crane in Finland.

    Latest technology, new products and tailor made solutions for the construction industry of the Indian market are the focus of the Liebherr showcase at Excon 2019 in Bangalore, India. The trade fair is held from December 10th to 14th, 2019 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. At the 10th edition of this "International Construction Equipment and Technology Trade Fair, the Liebherr Group presents wheel loaders and crawler tractors as well as mobile and tower cranes at the outdoor area OD 15 & 16.

    World premiere at the Excon India 2019: Liebherr expands its Flat-Top crane series with the NC-B 12-70

    Liebherr is unveiling the third and largest Flat-Top crane of the new NC-B series to date at the Excon in India: the NC-B 12-70. With a maximum lifting capacity of 12 tonnes and a maximum radius of 70 metres, it is significantly larger than the NC-B 9-62 and the NC-B 6-62. A specific 16 EC tower system has been developed for the NC-B cranes. The series also has its own variable climbing system.

    Scholl takes delivery of new Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane

    Karl Scholl GmbH from Heidelberg took delivery of an LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen during November. The 5-axle LTM 1230-5.1 delivers greater mobility due to it being much easier to obtain road licences for it. The 230-tonne crane will also upgrade the company’s fleet due to its variable boom system comprising a 75 metre telescopic boom and a 39 metre infinitely adjustable luffing jib as well as innovations such as VarioBase® and VarioBallast®.

    Swiss crane contractor Gyger Levage extends fleet with two new Liebherr mobile cranes

    Swiss crane contractor Gyger Levage has taken delivery of two new Liebherr mobile cranes. An LTM 1040-2.1 will expand the crane fleet in the lower lifting capacity range and an LTM 1450-8.1 with a maximum lifting capacity of 450 tonnes will add to the fleet at the top end of the range.

    Liebherr mobile cranes able to comply with the stringent Euro VI c emissions standard in realistic driving conditions

    The fact that even large vehicles such as the 5-axle LTM 1160-5.2 with a road weight of 60 tonnes from Liebherr can meet the high Onroad Euro VI c standard has been proved recently by the Swabian crane manufacturer in a series of tests conducted in conjunction with TÜV NORD and the engineering partner IAV.

    At Rental'R: The first Liebherr R 924 G8 crawler excavator in the Île-de-France region

    In April, Liebherr presented the new 8th generation of crawler excavators at the bauma trade fair in Munich. A number of these machines have since been successfully delivered to customers around the world. The company Rental'R, which was founded in 2018 and is based in Crosne in the French department of Essonne, purchased the first Liebherr R 924 crawler excavator in the Île-de-France region at the beginning of the summer. This machine was chosen at the end of a lengthy process of consideration – their decision rested on the quality and range of services offered by the manufacturer.

    Liebherr cranes erect prototype of the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world

    A few weeks ago, the prototype of what is currently the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world was erected in the Dutch port of Rotterdam. The gondola of the wind turbine, which measures an overall 207 metres in height, has a net weight of 675 tonnes. It was the heaviest load for the two Liebherr crawler cranes used for the job. In a tandem hoist, the two LR 11350 cranes managed a gross load of 780 tonnes and placed the massive component onto the 150 metre tower for the gigantic turbine.
