Liebherr-Transportation Systems has successfully serviced the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems in Bombardier’s electric trains of the Talent 3 type. The 3- and 4-car multiple units are operated by SWEG Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs-GmbH in Offenburg (Germany).
From April to June 2024, a total of 43 passenger- and 24 driver's compartment air-conditioning systems were inspected and overhauled as part of the so-called "Summer Maintenance" to ensure a reliable and comfortable indoor climate in the trains - and thus brave hot summer temperatures.
The regular check of the cooling cycle is an annual and legally prescribed inspection and an essential part of Liebherr’s customer service package. Qualified service technicians carry out a careful visual inspection of the HVAC units including refrigeration components. They clean for example the condensers, cover seals and replace refrigerants or conspicuous components and thus make sure that the air-conditioning systems perform flawlessly.

Liebherr supplies electromechanical rudder actuator for Phenom 300EV – a milestone in civil aviation
Liebherr-Aerospace has signed an agreement with Embraer to become part of the rudder-by-wire upgrade of the flight control system for the Phenom 300EV. The upgrade includes an electromechanical rudder actuator with integrated control and power electronics. It is one of the world’s first primary flight control applications of an electromechanical actuator (EMA) for a rudder on a civil aircraft. Furthermore, it is the first rudder EMA with fully integrated electronics.
