On August 13, 2020 the German Deputy Ambassador to China, Johannes Regenbrecht and his delegation visited Liebherr LAMC Aviation (Changsha) Co., Ltd. (LLA), the joint venture between Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH (Germany) and LAMC (AVIC Landing Gear Advanced Manufacturing Corp.).
Hosted by Yang Rujun, Chairman of LAMC, Li Ming, General Manager of LAMC, Li Gongliang, General Manager of LLA as well as Patrick Schulz, General Manager of Liebherr (China) Co., Ltd. the delegation visited the facilities of LAMC and LLA.
The Deputy Ambassador was very impressed and acknowledged the capabilities of the joint venture, the successful partnership of Liebherr and LAMC, which is living proof of the willingness of cooperation between the Chinese and German aircraft industry.
LLA supplies landing gears for two of COMAC’s aircraft programs: the ARJ21 and the C919. The LLA campus comprises an almost 54,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility, equipped with two separate assembly lines – one for each aircraft program. Its new ERP system allows LLA to gain full logistics responsibility, streamlining planning, procurement, and inventory turnover. The company is committed to making strides toward strategic investments in the market.
The representatives of the joint venture as well as of LAMC and Liebherr addressed towards Mr. Regenbrecht the interest of LLA to be selected as a supplier for the new prestigious Chinese-Russian aircraft program CR929.

Liebherr supplies electromechanical rudder actuator for Phenom 300EV – a milestone in civil aviation
Liebherr-Aerospace has signed an agreement with Embraer to become part of the rudder-by-wire upgrade of the flight control system for the Phenom 300EV. The upgrade includes an electromechanical rudder actuator with integrated control and power electronics. It is one of the world’s first primary flight control applications of an electromechanical actuator (EMA) for a rudder on a civil aircraft. Furthermore, it is the first rudder EMA with fully integrated electronics.
