Customers from more than 80 countries experienced two world premieres at the Customer Days in Ehingen

According to the motto ‘Strongly connected’, Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH invited 3,000 customers to its plant in Southern Germany at 13 and 14 June. The manufacturer unveiled new crane models from its crawler and mobile crane division. During an open house day on 16 June, Liebherr invited employees’ families and friends and presented impressive mobile and crawler crane demonstrations.

Longue, puissante et polyvalente : voilà les atouts phares de la nouvelle grue mobile LTM 1230-5. 1 de Liebherr, présentée aux journées portes ouvertes 2018 sur le site de Ehingen. La grue se démarque tout particulier par la longueur et la capacité de charge de la flèche télescopique. Déjà le modèle précédent, la LTM 1200-5. 1, disposait d’une flèche de 72 mètres, l'une des flèches télescopiques les plus longues de sa catégorie. La nouvelle 230 tonnes se distingue non seulement par une flèche plus longue de 3 mètres, mais également par une capacité de charge de 20 pourcent supérieure. Outre une fléchette pliante multifonctionnelle, la grue est dotée d’une fléchette fixe de 43 m de long. Grâce aux innovations de Liebherr, VarioBase®, VarioBallast, mode ECO et ECOdrive, les exploitants de la nouvelle LTM 1230-5. 1 disposent d'une machine particulièrement performante et sûre.

Les invités des journées portes ouvertes 2018 découvrent la nouvelle grue sur chenilles Liebherr de 800 tonnes : la LR 1800-1.0. La grue géante se distingue par ses capacités de charge exceptionnelles et son concept de transport économique adapté au monde entier. Conçue comme une grue industrielle particulièrement performante, elle est idéale pour les applications avec fléchette à volée variable et système derrick, par ex. pour la construction de centrales électriques et la pétrochimie. Le système de flèche se compose en première mondiale d’éléments en treillis se déclinant en trois dimensions, permettant un triple encastrement pour le transport.

New Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 with 60-metre telescopic boom shows what it can do on constricted sites

The variable support base for Liebherr mobile cranes, VarioBase® is established in practice is a solution to space problems on sites. The feature developed at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen allows the flexible use of restricted set-up space. On two exemplary job sites in Denmark and Switzerland it becomes apparent that VarioBase® has become an integral part of everyday work with mobile cranes.

First LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane delivered to Asia –Set Win Group delighted with its Liebherr 450-tonne machine

The Set Win Group took delivery of its new LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane during the Liebherr Customer Day at Hong Kong. Managing Directors Alan and Raymond Kan are delighted with the new flagship in their fleet: "The LTM 1450-8.1 exceeds our expectations. It was the right decision at the right time."

Al Faris takes delivery of the first Liebherr LRT rough-terrain cranes in the Middle East

Al Faris Equipment Rentals took delivery of two new Liebherr rough-terrain cranes at its company headquarters in Dubai in April – an LRT 1090-2.1 and an LRT 1100-2.1. These are the first of the new Liebherr series to enter use in the Middle East. They are part of a major order from Al Faris for a total of 27 Liebherr cranes which will be delivered before the end of this year – 14 LRT cranes and 13 LTM cranes with a total value of over 23 million euros.

First Liebherr crane for DB Port – LRT rough-terrain crane will be used for loading work

Polish company DB Port Szczecin has invested in a new Liebherr LRT 1090-2.1. The rough-terrain crane will be used for loading goods and is the first Liebherr crane for the company. Quality, lifting capacity, efficiency and functionality were the main factors behind the purchase decision.

Two Cranes with One Mission: Lifting Operation in the Tatra Mountains

Two Liebherr cranes joined forces for a spectacular bridge lift in the Tatra Mountains, Poland. The LR 1300 and the LTM 1160-5.1 convinced as a well-coordinated team during the trial of strength. Liebherr’s quality was also relied upon for the deep foundation work.

Used Liebherr LR 1750 is now the largest crawler crane of Fratelli Paradiso

New colour, new owner, proven quality: Italian crane rental company Fratelli Paradiso S.R.L. has purchased a used crawler crane LR 1750 from Liebherr, which will in future be used for the assembly of wind turbines.

Weiland adds Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane to its fleet

Weiland Kran und Transport GmbH has extended its fleet with a new Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane. The company attaches a great deal of value to the fast set-up times and great flexibility of its new eight-axle crane. Weiland will be taking delivery of another new Liebherr mobile crane in April. The new four-axle LTM 1090-4.2 was ordered as a result of its extremely attractive economical features.

Liebherr MK 140 mobile construction crane receives IFOY AWARD

Liebherr has won the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award with its MK 140 mobile construction crane. The five-axle crane underwent various tests for a week prior to submission before a jury of around 30 experts. The mobile construction crane can be seen at the CeMAT, the world’s leading trade fair for intralogistics, in Hanover from 23 to 27 April, 2018.

Meister takes delivery of new Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane

The demands on the boom systems for installing glass facades are changing. Meister GmbH based in Dieburg is increasingly receiving orders which require the boom to have a higher lifting capacity and an extended length. That was reason enough for the crane specialist to add to its mobile crane fleet so as to react to market demand. As a result of its frequent jobs on high-rise buildings in constricted areas, Meister GmbH decided to buy a new Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane. Claudia Meister, the owner and Managing Director, and Jens Ochmann, Technical & Organisation Manager, took delivery of the new 60-tonne crane at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen.

18 new Liebherr mobile cranes expand operational base of Rezayat Sparrow

Liebherr has received a major order from Rezayat Sparrow: the company based in Saudi Arabia has ordered 18 new Liebherr mobile cranes to mark its 40th anniversary. The order includes LTM mobile cranes from 70 tonnes to 500 tonnes capacity. The first cranes from the order were already delivered in January.

Regel modernising its crane fleet with new Liebherr mobile crane LTM 1500-8.1

Albert Regel GmbH was on the lookout for a new 500-tonne crane for its Germany-wide rental business. The specialist for heavy haulage, crane and assembly logistics is already operating two Liebherr mobile cranes of type LTM 1500-8.1 in its fleet. Besides good experience, the service provided by Liebherr played a crucial role in the purchase decision. The older of the two Liebherr 500-tonne cranes will be replaced by a new one. In comparison to the 14 year old crane, the new 8-axle machine comes with telescopic guying and the option of fully disassembling the telescopic boom.

Scholl expands fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 mobile crane

Karl Scholl GmbH based in Heidelberg took delivery of a new LTM 1070-4.2 in mid-March. The 50 metre telescopic boom was a major criterion in deciding in favour of the 70-tonne crane from Liebherr. Managing Director Yvonne Scholl and her partner Andreas Merkel, who is responsible for external technical services, travelled to the manufacturing plant in Ehingen to take delivery of the new crane.

It's all about the mix – Liebherr crawler crane erects mixing plant

A Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane operated by heavy haulage and transport contractor Emil Egger AG installed a silo with a capacity of 470 cubic metres in Oberriet, a Swiss municipality on the border with Austria. The Betomat 5/470 mixing plant it installed is also manufactured by the Liebherr Group.

"Grand Paris" – Liebherr involved in outstanding project of the century

Paris is growing. Massively. In 2016 the French capital and the surrounding départements were merged to form the "Metropole du Grand Paris" administrative unit. A total of 10 million people live in this enormous metropolis and there are plans to modernise and massively extend its infrastructure over the next few decades. 200 kilometres of underground railway including 68 new stations are planned, some of which are already under construction. The order books of crane contractors are filling rapidly.
