Two Liebherr R 9350 excavators delivered to Kascco in Zambia

Across 2025, Liebherr Zambia has successfully delivered two R 9350 excavators to mining contractor Kascco, with the most recent handover taking place in late-August. To celebrate the delivery, representatives from both Liebherr Zambia and Kascco gathered for a handover ceremony. The R 9350 excavators are not only the largest Liebherr machines supplied to Kascco but also represent the largest mining excavators in Kascco’s entire fleet.

Liebherr-Australia contributes AU$50,000 to support breast cancer research

Members of Liebherr-Australia’s executive team travelled to Hancock Iron Ore’s Roy Hill mine in Western Australia to unveil a cheque for AU$50,000. These funds were donated to Australia’s National Breast Cancer Foundation and were based on the performance of an R 9800 at Roy Hill mine in the month of June.

Liebherr-Australia and Glencore enter new era of partnership

This month, Liebherr-Australia and Glencore finalised multiple agreements for the delivery of Liebherr machines across Glencore’s Australian operations. Among these is the agreed supply of 17 machines across six mining operations in both Queensland and New South Wales, with deliveries running through to the end of 2026.

Liebherr Mining delivers complete trolley solution at Collahuasi mine in Chile

Earlier this month, Liebherr Mining commissioned a full trolley solution at Collahuasi copper mine in northern Chile. This is the first fully operational trolley line in Chile. The solution consists of T 284 trucks with retrofitted pantograph connections and all relevant infrastructure. The full scope of this trolley solution, from engineering and component supply to training and support, was delivered by Liebherr.

After more than 20 years as part of Liebherr-Australia’s Mackay team, with 14 of those years spent embedded at Yancoal’s Yarrabee coal mine in central Queensland, Ian Dobson is getting ready to hang up the hard hat and head into retirement. He’ll be leaving behind a legacy of knowledge, high standards and a reputation for treating every machine like his own.

Liebherr-Canada livre de tout nouveaux bouteurs PR 776 à la mine de Gibraltar

Le 29 avril, des membres de l’équipe de Liebherr-Canada se sont rendus à la mine de Gibraltar, en Colombie-Britannique, pour remettre quatre bouteurs PR 776 à Taseko Mines. Liebherr-Australia's Perth facility fabricates its 100th bucket

In April 2025, the fabrication team at Liebherr-Australia’s Perth facility in Western Australia celebrated its 100th bucket fabrication. The milestone bucket was delivered to an iron ore operation in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and was fitted to an R 9600 excavator.

The R 9150 excavator arrives in Greece

Back in February, the very first R 9150 excavator in Greece was assembled and delivered to Ptolemaida-Florina coal mine, which has one of the largest lignite reserves in all of Europe. This exciting excavator delivery was a collaboration between Tsekouras SA, Liebherr’s equipment dealer in Greece, and Liebherr Mining’s excavator production facility in Colmar, France.
