Liebherr and Damen Shipyard Group celebrate the 110th Liebherr Crane Order

Liebherr´s ship crane department is proud to announce that Damen Shipyards Group ordered its 110th Liebherr crane product. The historical order comprises a Liebherr floating crane type CBG 350 that is going to be used on a Transshipment Crane Barge 6324 built by Damen.

Doyle Shipping Group has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LRS 545 reachstacker for its Dublin Port container operation. The LRS 545 was produced at Liebherr’s manufacturing facility in Sunderland (UK) and shipped to Dublin via road.

Liebherr Offshore Cranes Accessing New Markets

Liebherr’s maritime manufacturing plant in Rostock has been awarded the contract to supply the heavy-lift crane for the Orion, a new wind farm installation and platform decommissioning vessel ordered by DEME from COSCO (QiDong) Offshore, a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry. The crane is rated at 3,000 tonnes at more than 50 metres, with a lifting height in excess of 170 meters and a designation of HLC (Heavy-Lift Crane) 295000. Delivery will be spring 2019.

At the international trade fair for shipbuilding, machinery and marine technology (SMM) in Hamburg, the Liebherr Components division is presenting its new component solutions for dredging. In that Liebherr is opening up a further area in the maritime industry with new component solutions for dredging. Special attention is paid to the development of efficient and durable solutions for individual applications in harsh environments.

Liebherr développe en coopération avec le fabricant autrichien de câbles, la compagnie Teufelberger Holding AG, un tout nouveau câble synthétique très résistant et avec une très haute capacité de charges pour les opérations de levage. Ce projet repose sur une coopération systématique entre les ingénieurs de différents secteurs du groupe Liebherr, à savoir ceux de Liebherr-Components Biberach GmbH ainsi que ceux de trois sites de fabrication Liebherr pour les grues à tour, les grues mobiles et sur chenilles ainsi que les grues maritimes.
