The Warehouse Logistics Continuous Improvement Manager directs and coordinates continuous improvement initiatives throughout the warehouse logistics function, with a focus on optimizing
processes, reducing costs, and improving overall performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management, logistics teams, and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop strategic plans and implement sustainable solutions to optimize processes and reduce costs.
  • Utilize data analysis, process mapping, and performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence throughout the warehouse logistics function.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to warehouse logistics staff in achieving improvement goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives, adjusting as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in warehouse logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards in all warehouse logistics activities.
  • Communicate progress, results, and challenges to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Supervisory Duties:
    • Manages 6(+) employees.
    • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Warehouse Logistics Continuous Improvement team.
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsibilities

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Process Optimization: Ability to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in warehouse logistics processes and develop strategies to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Management: Understanding of supply chain principles and ability to coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Continuous Improvement Methodologies: Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, and ability to apply these principles to drive operational excellence in warehouse logistics.
  • Change Management: Ability to lead change initiatives and effectively manage resistance to change, including communicating changes, gaining buy-in from stakeholders, and driving
  • adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Project Management: Experience in leading cross-functional projects, developing project plans, allocating resources, managing timelines, and ensuring successful project delivery within budget and scope.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams to achieve common goals, foster collaboration, and create a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas, initiatives, and results to diverse audiences, including senior management, frontline staff, and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues, evaluate alternative solutions, and make informed decisions to address challenges and drive improvements in warehouse logistics operations.
  • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management principles and ability to implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements in warehouse logistics processes.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
