En Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH ha salido de producción la pala cargadora número 50.000. La máquina objeto de la celebración, una L 566 XPower®, ha sido adquirida por el grupo de empresas Geiger. Pius Geiger, socio gerente, y Gernot Beer, gerente de Geiger Logistik, se han desplazado a Bischofshofen para recibir personalmente la pala cargadora.

El Side by Side SBSes 8663 y el combinado CBNPes 5758 de Liebherr han recibido un reconocimiento por su diseño de alta calidad, al ser galardonados con el premio RedDot 2017 en la categoria de Product Design.

Liebherr planning new development and demonstration centre in Kirchdorf
Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH will invest over 30 million Euro in a new development and demonstration centre at the site in Kirchdorf over the next five years. Construction work is due to start in 2017 and is expected to be completed by 2021.

The Liebherr Tower Cranes Division planned and completed a job for a 1000 EC-H 50 Litronic in Schelklingen down to the very last detail. A new klinker production line is currently being built there whilst the cement works continues to operate normally.

Heavy haulage and heavy lift contractor Gulf Haulage Heavy Lift Company (GHHL) has erected the first wind turbine in Saudi Arabia. A Liebherr LR 1750 crawler crane was used to erect the 84 metre tower, the 83 tonne nacelle and the 60 metre blades. The wind turbine in Turaif in the north-east of Saudi Arabia will generate power for a bulk plant facility operated by state oil company Saudi Aramco.

Primera excavadora sobre cadenas R 922 de Liebherr para mercados poco regulados en China
En Bauma 2016 en Múnich, Liebherr presentó su nueva serie de modelos de las excavadoras sobre cadenas R 920: R 922 y R 924. Además de cumplir las exigencias de los clientes de mercados poco regulados, estas máquinas están basadas de forma específica en estándares europeos probados y comprobados. Una nueva R 922 construida por Liebherr Machinery (Dalian) Co. Ltd trabaja para Xi’an Tianyi Earth-moving Co. Ltd desde agosto de 2016. Esta excavadora es una de las primeras máquinas de la nueva serie de modelos que se usarán en China.

La empresa de grúas colombiana Mamut de Colombia trabaja actualmente en la construcción de la línea de metro 2 en la ciudad de Panamá. Para ello, dos grúas móviles Liebherr modelo LTM 1500-8.1 y una grúa móvil Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 deben elevar un total de 1640 vigas en U de hormigón con un peso de hasta 161 toneladas y colocarlas sobre pilares prefabricados, todo ello antes de que acabe 2018.

Conexpo saw Liebherr showcase two new 6-cylinder in-line engines, which will be strengthening the portfolio in 2019. The D956 and D966 share nearly identical dimensions, and cover a wide power range from 320 to 450 kW, with displacements of 12 and 13.5 litres, respectively.

Three new Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile cranes for Megalift
Megalift GmbH will receive three new Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile cranes within three months. Company proprietor Bernd Preusse says that the VarioBallast® on this crane model was a major criterion behind the purchase. The three new 250-tonne machines will add to Megalift's Fleet at its site in Bremen and close the gap between the LTM 1200-5.1 and the LTM 1350-6.1. Megalift has also ordered a LTM 11200-9.1 which will be delivered in summer 2017.

En Smopyc, el Grupo Liebherr presentará una muestra de sus equipos de movimiento de tierras y manipulación de materiales en una feria que se celebrará del 25 al 29 de abril de 2017 en Zaragoza. Los visitantes encontrarán el stand de 600 m² de Liebherr en la zona al aire libre, Pabellón 8, Calle B-D, Stand 1-8.

At the beginning of this year, crane and heavy haulage contractor Ulferts & Wittrock assembled a Liebherr LPS 280 portal slewing crane for handling scrap metal in Bremen. A Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane was used for the heaviest loads. The constricted conditions on site proved a major challenge.
