The “Four” urban neighbourhood
Frankfurt am Main, also dubbed “Mainhattan”, is gaining another attraction and Liebherr tower cranes are centre stage. The “Four” development project consists of four high-rise buildings, the arrangement of which resembles the number 4. The highest tower reaches a height of 233 metres. And it isn't just the city's nickname that is reminiscent of its American big brother; the challenges posed by projecting edges on site are also similar and allow the HC-L series luffing jib cranes to fully utilise their advantages.
Cranes from the Tower Crane Center rental fleet have been, and are, in use alongside the crane fleet of our long-standing partner Nagel. In addition to cranes, the Tower Crane Center is also supplying tower crane sections and climbing equipment. The Tower Crane Center offers an extensive range and the expertise needed to support such projects with the right components exactly when they are needed.
1915 Çanakkale Bridge
The 4.6 kilometre-long 1915 Çanakkale Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the world and connects the continents of Europe and Asia in Turkey. In addition to the two new 357 HC-L luffing jib cranes on the job, our Tower Crane Center also had a part to play. After all, what goes up has to come down again!
The Tower Crane Center supported the final dismantling of the HC-L cranes with its special-purpose machine, a 200 DR 5/10 Litronic derrick disassembly crane. As the derrick crane can be dismantled into small parts, it was lowered from the pylon in manageable pieces after the HC-L cranes had been successfully disassembled.
The 200 DR 5/10 Litronic derrick crane is ready for your project – contact us to find out more.
Unipetrol refinery expansion
Orlen Unipetrol is a petrochemical and refined products manufacturer in Czechia and is currently investing in the expansion of one of its existing plants. After careful planning and selection of the most suitable products by our colleagues at Liebherr in Czechia, two 550 EC-H 40 high-top cranes from our young Tower Crane Center rental fleet are now in operation and helping ensure optimum construction progress. The cranes’ complete assembly, start-up and maintenance are all being handled by our local contacts, which minimises any potential construction downtime should an emergency arise. Expertise on site - that's what sets Liebherr apart.
