All good things come in threes!

The Rinsche gravel works has expanded its fleet with a third Liebherr L 586 XPower wheel loader. The company from Soester Börde now possesses over 100 tonnes of XPower combined, and we are very proud of their 100% customer satisfaction.

The operation

The Rinsche stone quarry in North Rhine-Westphalia mines “German bluestone” and “Anröchter greenstone” (also known as Anröchter dolomite), and the family-owned company also produces gravel.

The main task of the wheel loader is to transport blasted material from the quarry face to the crusher. In this load-and-carry operation, the machines cover distances of up to 200 m. The wheel loaders also help with reloading.

Rinsche is sticking with Liebherr

Up to now, the company had two L 586 Xpower wheel loaders from Liebherr and recently acquired an additional L 586 XPower. This was down to the enormous satisfaction they had with their two existing wheel loaders.

The wheel loaders operate with impressively low consumption levels and high performance in load-and-carry operations they move up to 12 tonnes of limestone marl per loading process and.

The low fuel consumption is particularly worth noting because the wheel loaders, weighing more than 33 tonnes, are fitted with a range of special equipment for quarry operations. The tyre protection chains are particularly distinctive and weigh up to 800 kilograms each depending on the version.

With its power split input our L 586 uses only around 20 litres of diesel per operating hour. This is approximately 12 litres less than a comparable wheel loader from another manufacturer which we previously had in the quarry. The Liebherr wheel loaders enable us to achieve huge cost savings and greatly reduce CO2 emissions.

Comparison of diesel fuel consumption between a Liebherr wheel loader and a wheel loader from other manufacturers

Fuel saving with Liebherr wheel loaders

The innovative drive concepts of the Liebherr wheel loaders considerably increase working efficiency. Unnecessary counterweight can be avoided through the unique component mounting position at the rear of the machine. Ideal weight distribution results in high tipping loads and greater handling capacity per hour of operation.

The Liebherr driveline with Liebherr-Power-Efficiency (LPE) achieves a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 30%. In addition there is minimal tyre wear and hardly any brake wear. Liebherr-Power-Efficiency (LPE) optimises the interaction between diesel engine, gearbox and working hydraulics for maximum efficiency.

Calculate your fuel saving!

The Liebherr fuel savings calculator for construction machines is a freely available online application that allows users to quickly and easily determine their potential savings when using a Liebherr machine compared to a comparable machine.
