News | 07/01/2014 Liebherr opens a second location in the Berlin-Brandenburg region

On 27 and 28 June 2014, the Liebherr Group inaugurated a new sales, rental and service center at Kleinmachnow, Germany. Some 500 guests gathered at the Europarc Dreilinden to celebrate the opening of the second Liebherr location in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. Here, Liebherr is set to sell, service and rent earth moving equipment and materials handling machines in the region.

The Group has been operating a sales and service subsidiary for earth moving equipment in the Berlin-Brandenburg region since 1991. Until now, sales, rentals and service have been managed from the location at Ahrensfelde. The new subsidiary is located in the Europarc Dreilinden. Two Liebherr subsidiaries operate at each of the two locations, actively employing a workforce of nearly 40 – Liebherr-Baumaschinen Vertriebs- und Service GmbH and Liebherr-Mietpartner GmbH.

The new subsidiary means that there is now sufficient area available to present the entire product range of the earth moving equipment and materials handling divisions and to maintain stocks for rental. In addition, the service activities for Liebherr concrete pumps will be concentrated at Kleinmachnow.

The basis for the new center was laid in 2012 with the acquisition of about 21,000 m² of land in the Europarc Dreilinden. The building area at Kleinmachnow covers almost 2,500 m². A workshop with a washing hall covers 1,500 m². The traffic and presentation areas cover over 11,000 m².
