The wheel loader is urgently required at Breitsamer. Safety is of the utmost importance on the company's very busy premises. The machine operators bear enormous responsibility for up to 800 vehicles, which move around daily on the grounds spanning over six hectares. The company therefore invested in a new L 580 XPower, which should relieve the drivers in their day-to-day work.
The wheel loader is equipped with the new active person recognition. It warns the machine operator as soon as there is a person in the rear area of the wheel loader. The system makes a distinction between people and objects, whereby the warning range for people can be set to 6.0 metres and for objects to 1.4 metres. Another key safety detail with the wheel loader is the roof camera for monitoring the front area of the machine. This camera allows the machine operator to oversee the 13 m³ light material bucket. The new steering solution using a joystick gives the driver precise feedback on the position of the wheel loader as the alignment of the joystick corresponds exactly to the articulation angle. This means that in the future it is possible for employees of Breitsamer to move the wheel loader around the premises in an even more reliable and controlled manner.
During the official handover of the machine Martin Gschwend, Managing Director of Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH, and Johannes Kappelsberger, Sales Representative of LBV Munich, handed over a large key to the company owners Johann and Thomas Breitsamer from Breitsamer Entsorgung Recycling GmbH.
