A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Service Engineer (Harbour Mobile Cranes) in our Maritime Crane department based from Dublin, Ireland. The role contributes to the success of the Maritime Crane Department for Liebherr Construction Equipment Ireland by carrying out effective maintenance and repair work on equipment out at customer premises or on site, ensuring both quality standards and timelines for repair are optimised at all times leading to increased customer confidence and repeat business whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times and working within the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.

Your Responsibilities

•    Good industry background / knowledge in Maritime Cranes.
•    Works with the customer in mind, making sure that quality work standards are maintained consistently and that post work, the repair site is clean and left in a condition that satisfies the customer.
•    Lead, plan and carry out, servicing, inspection and repair of machinery and equipment at customer premises or on site or if required at the appropriate depot.
•    To support the Maritime Technical Manager in guiding and mentoring apprentice engineers and service engineers.
•    To focus, as a priority, on the company’s harbour crane types, but also to become familiar with other product types with the Maritime Construction Crane Division.
•    Diagnose specific fault issues and action appropriately
•    Electrical fault diagnosis and repair (predominantly 24Vdc and 220-240Vac)
•    To undertake hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair
•    Working at heights
•    Lead in planning (RAMS), building and dismantling LHM cranes.
•    Working to deadlines and being responsible for managing own time to comply with company’s expectations
•    Undertake all work strictly in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and recommendations.
•    Return all warranty and other return parts cleaned and on time ensuring correct processes for packing and labelling.
•    Ensure all service information is read, understood, filed and distributed accordingly
•    Develops an effective working relationship with the support team at the depot and support others where required.
•    Maintains a healthy and safe working environment for self and others through a clear understanding of workplace safety requirements and systems.
•    Supports the roles of others ensuring administration and paperwork is completed effectively and on time as and when required.
•    Develops outstanding rapport and relationships with all customers with the ability to interact at all levels. Ensuring a flexible approach is adopted to meet their needs.
•    Is able to effectively contribute in recognising and improving work processes so as to drive greater efficiency.
•    Uses initiative and optimises down times to pay courtesy visits to customers
•    Proactively seek new opportunities to develop personal skills and looks at opportunities out in the field to apply these.
•    In all activities to ensure that the Safety, Quality, Environmental, Financial and Operational policies of the Company are adhered to and promoted and that the Company procedures both operational and administrative of are maintained.
•    Lead by example working to the Liebherr company values.

Your Profile

The successful candidate will require the following:
•    Qualification – NFQ Level 6/national craft certificate level 6 or equivalent
•    Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent in a related industry
•    Slinger/Supervisor
•    Solas Safe Pass Card
