Reponsibilities

We are looking for an IT Analyst - Technical Business Analyst within our IT department.

The Role

In this role your purpose is to proactively support the improvement of business processes (in e.g. hr, sales, design, logistics, production) through implementations, developments and adaptations to both existing and new applications.  You will have interactions with project stakeholders, supporting key users, IT team leaders, as well as support coming from peers in the sister companies and externally. This role comprises both process improvement initiatives and system application implementations.

You provide quality support and possess excellent documentation skills. You are competent at “becoming the technical expert” through your own research and knowledge gathering. You have an appreciation of how systems integrate and interact throughout the organisation, with a good knowledge of the operation of complex IT landscapes.  Working in a group environment, you are flexible and demonstrate good teamwork. Above all you have strong analytical thinking – you have a proven capability to negotiate and build solutions.

Key Elements of the Role

Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with the process owners (managers and key users), to provide process analysis competence – e.g. preparation of project proposals including mapping of as-is and to-be processes.
  • Participation in extension of project proposals to analysis and completion of business cases for new projects and/or products.
  • Facilitating discussion by the cross functional teams of key-users as required to realise solutions.
  • Experience using a variety of requirement elicitation techniques.
  • Ability to evaluate various solutions to a technical level.
  • Ability to write functional/technical specifications that realise the requests with a minimum of customisation.
  • Ability to manage and maintain requirements and design information from inception to retirement.
  • Working with IT Team Leaders to support system and application software, setups, and configurations.
  • Report building experience (SQL, crystal reports or similar).
  • Prepare various complex internal management reports, including board presentations.
  • Work on internal controls analysis and update.
  • Continuous improvement of internal processes, including support and escalation processes.

Qualifications Requirements and Experience

  • A 3rd level qualification in IT, Business Information Systems, or another 3rd level qualification together with rele-vant experience.
  • Experience with ERP Software systems.
  • Excellent and advanced computer skills, including expert MS Excel skills, MS Access, MS PowerPivot and Power Query or equivalent.
  • Experience in consultancy or technical support of a key application (such as ERP), ideally related to manufactur-ing.
  • Analytical thinking and Problem-solving skills.
  • Database experience with MS-SQL, Informix or Oracle etc.
  • Ideally 4-5 years in a similar role.

Advantageous Experience

  • German language skills.
  • A knowledge of business applications such as HCM, CRM, PLM.
  • An understanding of the basic elements of a manufacturing environment.
