Lots of school students from the Upper Swabia region will visit Liebherr at Bauma – the world’s leading construction machinery trade fair. In preparation, the Liebherr Group has launched a school campaign called “Ask Liebherr”, to encourage dialog with school students and find out what worries them most about starting a career.

In partnership with 14 schools in the region, Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH and Liebherr-Elektronik GmbH organized a soapbox derby. School students from years seven, eight and nine competed in self-built racing cars along a 200-meter track.

Once you finish school, you can generally start a vocational training course or a degree course with us. We also offer a taster internship for interested school students, as part of career guidance. This gives you the opportunity to find out first-hand what working at Liebherr is like, and look over the shoulder of our trainees and students at work. Some companies even offer a special combined vocational and educational scheme, known as the “Ulm model”. If you want to earn some extra money during the holidays, you can take on responsibility with a holiday job.

Yes. Liebherr is not only one of the world’s largest construction machine manufacturers – the company is also successful in many other sectors, such as domestic appliances. The extraordinarily large product range is the result of a gradual development process. Liebherr comprises a total of eleven divisions that the company developed on its own.

Under the General Non-Discrimination Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz, AGG) in Germany, you are not required to submit a photo with your application. However, if you do decide to include an application photo, it is important that it makes you look friendly and approachable. It doesn’t have to be taken by a professional photographer, but it should look professional. Holiday snaps showing you in sunglasses or wearing a beach hat or baseball cap are a no-go.
