The extensive hydraulic power unit portfolio impresses in numerous applications, especially in stationary applications. By designing the hydraulic power units to meet requirements, Liebherr guarantees the reliable hydraulic supply of systems. From non-stop operation to intermittent operation, the design can reflect all possible operating modes. We create application-specific circuit diagrams using control blocks with valves from well-known manufacturers. Depending on the installation space, longitudinal and vertical stacking is also possible.

Configuration with high-quality sensor technology from well-known manufacturers or Liebherr's proprietary products ensures the efficiency of the systems.
As a customer, you benefit from the comprehensive application know-how of the entire group of companies and our worldwide service network.
In practice, hydraulic power units are also used internally, for example for pulse testing of hydraulic components. A test method of this kind means that components such as hydraulic cylinders are tested for their service life. Characteristic for this field of application is an adjustable pressure and delivery rate. A variable characteristic curve is a basic prerequisite for performing a compression test for fatigue strength. To ensure fast testing times, Liebherr units meet requirements of up to 60 cycles per minute. The control for the administration of test parameters is achieved via an integrated interface. The display includes the test cycle and analysis of the results.
In special tower cranes, power units support the ''climbing'’ function, together with a so-called climbing cylinder.
Installed in the tower of a crane of this kind, these climbing units formed by the power unit and the climbing cylinder ensure that the device can “grow”, or climb, with the construction of a building by pushing individual crane components upwards. The crane is usually located in an elevator shaft.
When the highest high-rise building in Europe was built in St. Petersburg, this unit was installed in the climbing unit of the cranes.
