Founded in 2006, Liebherr India Private Limited in Navi Mumbai is responsible for sales and service of maritime cranes, construction machinery, earthmoving machines, mining machines, mobile cranes, tower cranes, components and concrete technology products. As a result of growing demand for construction machinery, the company is extending its sales and service network all over India in order to provide Liebherr customers with even better service and Support.

The joint venture Liebherr Machine Tools India Private Limited in Bangalore manufactures gear cutting machines which are primarily intended for the Asian market.

The company performs final assembly for the Indian market, commissions gear cutting machines and provides sales services and general services.

India is on the way to becoming one of the world's largest markets for tower cranes. In order to satisfy this demand, Liebherr CMCtec India Private Limited brought a new plant for tower cranes on stream in Pune at the beginning of 2012.

Due to keen customer demand, a decision was also taken to extend the product range in addition to the 85 EC-B 5 by another top-slewing crane in the 150 meter tonne class.

Liebherr Appliances India Pvt Ltd was founded in 2013. The construction of a production site in Aurangabad in the Indian state of Maharashtra began in May 2016. Liebherr Domestic Appliances expects further growth on the Indian market. The appliances to be produced from 2018 are designed for the specific market requirements in India.

The first ExperienceCenter opened in Mumbai in September 2016. In a modern and stylish ambience dealers and customers can gain an impression of the innovative ideas and quality of Liebherr fridge and freezer units.
