Features Technical data Downloads Optional equipment Applications Videos Attachments Easy transport and set-up The innovative self-assembly and jack-up system allows for assembly and dismantling without an auxiliary crane. All crane components are space-saving and weight-optimized designed – this enables smooth transportation on all roads. High service availability A global service network with experienced technicians and fast access to spare parts ensure high machine availability and a long product service life. more Designed for dynamic tasks The uppercarriage with its robust design is mounted on a solid undercarriage featuring wide tracks and long crawlers for a high level of stability. more Reliable drive technology A reliable and easy to service diesel engine designed for the HS series provides the required hydraulic power. Less operating costs are achieved by lower fuel consumption. Through its new exhaust after-treatment system the required emission targets are attained. more Intelligent crane control The crane control system offers a multitude of programme and control options. Color displays clearly provide service and machine data. All movements can be carried out simultaneously. The operator thus benefits from a facilitated handling of the rig. Furthermore, quick working cycles are achieved. Flexibility in operation Thanks to the modular concept in combination with a variety of equipment options, the crane can be configured for its special job: This includes working with slurry wall grab and casing oscillator, material loading with grab or drag bucket, dynamic soil compaction as well as dredging. more Max. lifting capacity 100 t Min. transport width 3,500 mm Min. transport height 3,180 mm Min. transport weight 40 t Engine power 450 kW Max. winch line pull 2 x 295 kN Max. main boom 59.00 m Boom length in grab operation 32.00 m Boom length in dragline operation 29.00 m Operating weight 89 t Travel speed 1.28 km/h Max. depth dragline operation 15.00 m Max. capacity of dragline bucket 4.60 m³ Max. capacity of clamshell 7.00 m³ at radius 12.00 m Technical data – HS 8100 duty cycle crawler crane PDF (9.1 MB) Technical data USA – HS 8100 duty cycle crawler crane PDF (9.4 MB) Overview HS series duty cycle crawler cranes PDF (54.1 KB) Overview HS series (USA) duty cycle crawler cranes PDF (56.2 KB) Hydraulic slurry wall grab HSG 5-18 PDF (7.7 MB) Hydraulic slurry wall grab HSG 5-18 (USA) PDF (7.7 MB) Solutions for deep foundation work PDF (8.7 MB) Solutions for Material Handling PDF (6.6 MB) Customer service for crawler cranes and foundation machines PDF (7 MB) Field Service PDF (6.1 MB) Original Liebherr Retrofits PDF (3.6 MB) Upgrade: Earth Spike PDF (1.2 MB) Crane Planner 2.0 flyer PDF (322.8 KB) LiSIM - training simulators for construction machines PDF (3.8 MB) Process data recording PDE and process data reporting PDR PDF (161 KB) Fuel costs matter! As a solution, with the "Crane Planner" Liebherr offers software for selecting the optimal crawler crane and the appropriate configuration for the respective use. more Recording of working processes (PDE) With the PDE process data recording system machine data is recorded during the working process. more Control system for dragline operation The "interlock" control system for dragline operations ensures powered lowering with drag winch, while lifting of the bucket with the hoist winch. This reduces fuel consumption and minimizes wear of the free fall brake. Slurry wall grab control This is an electronic control for precise lowering of the grab. It protects the grab during positioning, prevents caving in of the trench due to high speeds, saves fuel, and is simple to handle. Automated control system for dynamic soil compaction For dynamic soil compaction an automated control system can be used. It allows for precise operating cycles and minimizes rope wear. Deep vibrator control An automated control system for the hoisting winch allows for a gradual extraction of the deep vibrator. It can be adjusted depending on the power consumption of the deep vibrator. Eco silent mode Eco silent mode With the eco silent mode the engine speed can be reduced to a predefined, required level. With this feature a notable reduction in diesel consumption can be achieved without any impact on operational output. Noise emissions are thus also lowered. Automatic engine stop Automatic engine stop The machine can optionally be equipped with an automatic engine stop control. Thanks to this feature it automatically switches off during longer work breaks after evaluating several machine parameters. This is fuel saving and environmentally friendly. Fleet management and teleservice Fleet management and teleservice The data transmission and positioning system “LiDAT” provides important information on the operation of the machine. With these data the operation becomes more efficient. Various additional modules allow machine data reporting or access through service engineers via teleservice. more Additional swing drive Additional swing drive For special applications such as dragline operation an additional increase in torque is achieved through the installation of a second or third swing drive. Backup control Backup control The backup control allows for limited operation of the machine in case of a partial or full break down of the control system. Slurry wall installation with grab A clamshell grab excavates the slurry wall panels. Slurry wall installation with hydromill With the help of cutting wheels the building ground is broken up and crushed. Dragline operation Typical applications with dragline bucket include the excavation of various bulk goods, such as gravel and sand, from rivers or quarries. Grab operation Fitted with a range of different mechanical or hydraulic grabs, duty cycle crawler cranes are used for typical material handling tasks with large working radii. Drilling with bored pile grab Drilling with bored pile grab is a dry drilling method loosening the building ground either by cutting or by impacting – depending on the working tool used. Dredging Dredging is necessary when sediment settles and leads to shallow water, which impairs the shipping industry. Impact compaction Impact compaction For impact compaction a tamper weight is dropped to the ground from a great height. Reverse circulation air injection drilling Reverse circulation air injection drilling Reverse circulation air injection drilling is a jetting-assisted drilling method applied to produce boreholes of very large diameters and enormous depths. Vibro-flotation Vibro-flotation For deep compaction the building ground is compacted and so improved using vibration.
