News | 04/13/2019 With university students at Bauma in Munich

Liebherr was able to welcome 125 university groups during this year's Bauma to its stand. In addition to coming from regional partner universities, like the Kempten University of Applied Sciences, other students traveled much further, coming from as far away as France and Czech Republic, to visit Liebherr at Bauma.

With guided tours, nearly 3,000 students received an insight into the Liebherr world at Bauma. In each of the one-hour tours, the students were able to examine the approximately 100 exhibits that came from the construction machinery divisions of the Liebherr Group. There was a great deal to hear regarding the technical study programmes: Liebherr is working on alternative power trains and increased energy efficiency for the construction site of the future. The tours ended at the career stand, where the young academics received additional information about Liebherr as an employer and about their personal career opportunities. After taking a selfie at the LH 110 C Gantry Port, a fully electric material handling machine, the students said goodbye to Bauma and left with a souvenir photo.

For a long time now, the Liebherr Group has been working with various universities and higher education institutions and has been investing in making close contacts with young graduates. Various research projects are currently underway with the Kempten University of Applied Sciences and the RWTH Aachen University on subjects such as digitisation and the networked construction site.
