About the roleDue to recent growth and continued focus on developing the technicians of the future, we have a great new opportunity for an Apprentice Coordinator to join our Earthmoving and Material handling division. Reporting to the National Service Manager and based at our Erskine Park facility in Sydney’s West this role will be responsible for identifying, prioritising, and implementing training plans to support and build capabilities to ensure completion of mechanical apprenticeships across our branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a regular routine of contact and actively support apprentices e.g., job evaluations and employment health checks
- Assist with coordination and delivery of annual apprentice intake.
- Mentoring and providing guidance to apprentices.
- Identify opportunities to improve apprenticeship program.
- Identify and address apprentices who are having difficulty with progressing, escalating issues where appropriate to achieve a resolution.
- Create opportunities for apprentices to rotate across disciplines to increase the apprentice's exposure to all relevant skill set.
- Monitor and manage training contracts, registrations, employment changes, and completions.
About you
- Experience is a similar role with understanding of TAFE and apprentice training programs.
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Cert IV in Training and assessment desired but not essential
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
