In this role your purpose is to proactively support the improvement of business processes (in e.g., hr, sales, design, logistics, production) through project management of developments and adaptations to the ERP and related applications.  You will have interactions supporting key users locally, and project team members both locally and remotely (sister companies located in Germany, Austria and the UK, and their consulting partners).  The maritime division of Liebherr has embarked on an ambitious project of 5+ years duration, to re-implement ERP in Infor LN cloud. In this project you will take a pivotal role, coordinating the interactions between the project teams and the team of key users locally.

You provide quality support and possess excellent documentation skills.  You have an appreciation of how systems integrate and interact throughout the organisation, with a good knowledge of the operation of complex IT landscapes.  Working in a group environment, you are flexible and demonstrate good teamwork.  You have strong analytical thinking – you have a proven capability to negotiate solutions.  Above all you have a careful, conscientious, and methodical approach.

Key Elements of the Role
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ownership of requests/tickets/project tasks related to the ERP system.
  • Management of project tasks, status reporting and feedback (mixed classic/agile environments).
  • Facilitating of discussion by cross functional teams as required to realise solutions.
  • Ability to extract requirements and write functional specifications.
  • Advocating and communication of requirements between teams when necessary.
  • Completing basic testing, and guiding application key-users through the testing process, with auditable documentation.
  • Assisting with technical documentation when required.
  • Ability to maintain requirements and process design information from inception to realisation.
  • Working with IT Team Leaders to support system and application setups, and configurations.
  • Prepare various complex internal management reports, including board presentations.
  • Work on internal controls analysis and update.

Qualifications & Competences:

  • Bi-lingual - English/German.
  • A 3rd level qualification in IT, Business Information Systems, or another 3rd level qualification together with relevant experience.
  • Experience with at least one large software implementation project, ideally ERP.
  • A project management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent meeting management skills, including the ability to break down complex points into logical parts.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ideally 4-5 years in a similar role.

Advantageous Experience

  • Consultancy or support of a key application (such as ERP), ideally related to manufacturing.
  • Experience in process mapping and analysis.
  • Experience in UAT processes and management.
  • Previous experience of ERP – Infor, SAP, Netsuite, Sage, Epicor, Cognos, Navision etc.
  • A knowledge of multiple business applications such as HCM, CRM, PLM, MES.
