Two Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile cranes from crane and heavy haulage contractors Autokrane Schares GmbH from Bocholt and Dietmar Flossdorf GmbH from Bad Neuenahr recently dismantled a 100-year-old railway bridge in Essen. The two 500-tonne cranes had to lift 120 tonnes of steel in a tandem hoist.

It continues the successful concept of its predecessor, the LTM 1500 8.1, featuring two telescopic boom versions – the LTM 1650-8.1 will be available with 54 and 80-metre telescopic booms.

Tandem hoist – motors weighing 165 tons loaded onto freighter

South German crane and transport contractor Scholpp obtained support from Kehl in the State of Baden-Württemberg for the first job for its brand new Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane. Together with an identical mobile crane operated by MSG-Krandienst, enormous motors designed for power generation were loaded onto a freighter in tandem hoists.

Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 lowered to get through Ehrenbreitstein Fortress

A Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 mobile crane had to complete several hoists at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress near Koblenz to erect and remove works of art weighing several tonnes. The compact crane had to pass through two narrow points en route through the massive defensive walls to the place of use. Things became particularly challenging for the driver and vehicle marshals in a 25 metre tunnel where the distance between the crane and the historic structure was just two centimetres in some places.

AKM Autokranvermietung GmbH took delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane at the end of February. The Munich-based company is expanding its fleet with this new 130-tonne crane as it has been swamped with orders for crane work, particularly in the mobile crane class above 100 tonnes.

The first Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane heads for Spain – Eurogruas 2000 takes delivery of its new 800-tonne crane at the Bauma

Eurogruas 2000 took delivery of the first new Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane at the Bauma 2019. The 800-tonne crawler crane, the largest exhibit at the entire trade show, was delivered to the Spanish crane contractor immediately after the end of the Bauma event. Eurogruas 2000 purchased the new crane primarily for hoisting heavy loads. Its first job will be at a refinery in Portugal.

First crawler crane for HKV - Liebherr LR 1500 expands fleet

HKV Schmitz + Partner GmbH has purchased the first crawler crane in the history of the company. Liebherr officially handed over the new LR 1500 to the crane rental company in March at its Cologne site. Its low cost transportation and fast set-up time were the main criteria behind the decision to buy the 500-tonne crawler crane. The overall concept of the LR 1500 is designed for simplicity and great economy in every respect.

1250 tonnes of lifting capacity for Sweden – Jinert takes delivery of new LTM 1500-8.1 and LR 1750/2 from Liebherr

Crane and heavy haulage contractor Sven Jinert AB took delivery of two new large cranes in mid-March at the manufacturing plant in Ehingen. The Swedish company is expanding its crane fleet with an LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane and an LR 1750/2 crawler crane. In terms of lifting capacity, this is the largest crane delivery by Liebherr to Sweden in the company’s history.

All Family of Companies takes delivery of 1,000th Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 mobile crane produced

Representatives from Liebherr and the ALL Family of Companies recently celebrated a milestone – the handover of the 1,000th LTM 1200-5.1 mobile crane ever produced. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the ALL Family of Companies is the largest privately-owned crane rental and sales organization in North America, with 36 branches operating under multiple names – ALL, Central, Dawes, Jeffers and ALT. The safety, product quality and flexibility of the LTM 1200-5.1 were major criteria behind ALL’s purchasing decision.

Liebherr delivers the first armoured mobile and recovery cranes to the German Army

Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH delivered the first mobile and recovery cranes from its current large order from the German Army on schedule in February. In June 2017, Liebherr received an order from the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to deliver a total of 71 armoured mobile and recovery cranes worth around 150 million euros.

Handover of keys at Bauma 2019: Family-run company is pleased with new Liebherr duty cycle crawler crane

Shortly after Bauma 2019 opened its doors, the first customer already received a new machine. The Spanish company Cimentaciones Abando received the key for a brand new HS 8070.
