New LTM 1230-5.1 fast and flexible for erecting power lines

High lifting capacity values, an extremely long telescopic boom for its class and a series of innovative features such as VarioBase® and VarioBallast® – all these are combined on the new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane which has recently been launched by Liebherr. More and more of this new all-rounder from Ehingen can now be seen on construction sites. The new model made its debut at the customer days last year. That was when Wasel GmbH based in Bergheim near Cologne became one of the first companies to place an order for it. In fact, this large crane contractor and heavy haulage logistics company placed an order for two new cranes. One of the white and blue mobile cranes has been in action for the last few weeks erecting two new power lines.

Liebherr crawler crane in action inside giant cooling tower

A Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane was in action completing modification work in one of the cooling towers at Weisweiler power plant in North Rhine- Westphalia. Crane and heavy haulage logistics contractor Wasel based in Bergheim near Cologne received an order to replace parts of the pipework system over the top edge of the massive cooling tower. The crane was erected with an impressive roller head height of 182 metres to carry out this job.

Liebherr extends product portfolio with rough-terrain cranes

Liebherr has extended its mobile crane product range with an additional series of rough-terrain cranes in the 90-tonne (100 USt) and 100-tonne (110 USt) classes. They feature high performance, safety and comfort.

The New Zealand crane operator Hi Lift Cranes has acquired an MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane, making it the first ever Liebherr mobile construction crane in New Zealand.

Ulferts installs equipment on cruise ship using three Liebherr mobile cranes

236 metres long for 999 passengers – Meyer-Werft handed over the Spirit of Discovery to British shipping company Saga Cruises at the end of June in Emden. The final equipment was installed on the ship prior to this by three Liebherr mobile cranes. Crane and heavy haulage contractor Ulferts GmbH used two LTM 1250-5.1 cranes and an LTM 1100-5.2 for this work.

Liebherr to Present its Latest Construction Machinery in Finland at the 2019 Maxpo

The Liebherr Group is present at Finland´s largest trade fair for construction machinery Maxpo, which is held from 5 to 7 September in Hyvinkää. Liebherr MK 88 Plus as a space-saving miracle in the old city centre of Mainz

During the use of a Liebherr MK 88 Plus in the city centre of Mainz, the spontaneity of the crane driver and the flexibility of the mobile construction crane were essential: In very restricted space, crane requirements had been changed on site at short notice. Due to technical problems, an air conditioner had to be positioned on a different place on the roof of a commercial building at a greater distance to the crane. However, this was not possible from the planned place of installation because even from there, the maximum working radius had already been required for the lifting movement. Nevertheless, the team of the crane and heavy-duty logistics company Riga-Mainz found quickly a practicable solution for the new situation on site.

Vogel takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane

Dieter Vogel GmbH took delivery of an LTM 1090-4.2 at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen. The new 90-tonne crane will replace an LTM 1080/1, which has been a reliable machine for 20 years for the crane rental company based in Reutlingen.

Hoisting over obstacles with Liebherr cranes – 108 tonne steel tank moved over 12 metre pipe bridge

Three large Liebherr mobile cranes were sent by crane and heavy haulage logistics contractor Maxikraft, which mainly operates in the east of Germany, to complete a tricky job at a chemical plant near Halle (Saale) – a storage tank weighing over 100 tonnes had to be transported from its assembly area through the factory site to its destination and then installed in the plant. The route through the factory site was blocked by a large pipe bridge.

Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane is the new flagship at Gräser-Eschbach

The Gräser-Eschbach Group with companies in Mannheim and Bad Schönborn recently took delivery of a new flagship – its new Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane is now the largest crane in its fleet. One of its first jobs was to dismantle a tower crane in the new Gateway Gardens business global business village at Frankfurt Airport.

Liebherr-Ehingen supplies its 10,000th used crane

Australian crane contractor MCG Cranes Pty Ltd based in Thomastown (Victoria) recently took delivery of a used Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 mobile crane, the 10,000th used crane to be supplied by Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH since the company was founded.
