Liebherr-Components Kirchdorf GmbH opens a new production site for the assembly of hydraulic cylinders in Oberopfingen on schedule. With the new site, Liebherr is doubling the production area for hydraulic cylinders, dampers and system solutions, thus driving growth in the area of hydraulic cylinders.

Liebherr-Components Kirchdorf GmbH opens the new production site for hydraulic cylinders in Oberopfingen on schedule. On a total area of 13 hectares, two new production halls with an area of 23,000 m² for logistics, assembly, testing and painting of hydraulic cylinders have been built, along with an administrative building. The associated mechanical production, however, remains for the moment at the original production site in Kirchdorf an der Iller. The relocation of the employees for the above-mentioned fields of activities will be completed by mid-2018."We are pleased to be able to open our new production site for the assembly of hydraulic cylinders on schedule," says Dr Christian Zenner, Technical Director of Liebherr-Components Kirchdorf GmbH. "With the new plant, we offer the sector of hydraulic cylinders optimal growth prospects and strive to be able to provide customised hydraulic cylinder solutions even faster and more flexibly as a global competence partner." Liebherr has been developing and producing high-quality hydraulic cylinders for a wide variety of applications at this location since 1958.
