The offshore industry faces a wide range of challenges and is undergoing constant change. At the Offshore Summit 2026 in Rostock, Germany, customers, partners and industry representatives came together to discuss current developments and look ahead to the solutions of tomorrow.
Liebherr welcomed numerous representatives from the international offshore industry to its Rostock site to discuss the challenges, technological trends and future requirements facing the sector. At the test facility, guests were given the opportunity to examine the fully electric BOS 4600 E offshore crane in detail.
Alongside specialist talks and technical presentations, the focus was above all on personal exchanges between operators and industry experts. In interactive workshops, participants explored the industry’s future directions. Together, they developed ideas for the next generation of offshore cranes and discussed expectations regarding efficiency, availability and service. Participants also exchanged views on the role of holistic, networked solutions in the industry.
The conference offered a wide range of opportunities for direct dialogue with industry professionals and provided important impetus for the sector’s further development. At the same time, the discussions highlighted the importance of close cooperation between manufacturers and operators in order to address the challenges facing the offshore industry together and drive forward innovative solutions for the future.
