The Liebherr Group ended 2024 with a revenue of €14,622 million.
The Liebherr Group achieved sales increases in seven of its 13 product segments, surpassing the previous revenue record set in 2023 by €580 million. Furthermore, the number of employees grew once again. At the end of the year, Liebherr had a total of 54,728 employees worldwide.
Liebherr is pursuing an objective to be a major player in the advancement of technological innovation. In total, Liebherr invested € 666 million in research and development. The bulk of this went into the development of new products. Liebherr continued to develop existing technologies in the 2024 business year and added numerous new machines, components and solutions to its product programme. As in the previous year, the fields of alternative drive technology, digitalisation and autonomy were once again the main focus of research and development.
The annual report released on April 2, 2025 features, alongside key figures detailing the Group's progress, an interview in which family shareholders Jan Liebherr, President of the Administrative Board of Liebherr-International AG, and Philipp Liebherr, Member of the Administrative Board of Liebherr-International AG, are drawing their conclusions for 2024.
In a video review, our moderator Sebastian Höfner shows the highlights and challenges of the past year. He talks to various interviewees about the importance of diversification within the Group, the historic contract for 475 mining machines as well as inspiring careers. Liebherr is increasing the overall service life of its Fibre ropes from 14 to 16 years, with the decisive period of use rising to up to 12 years. This is based on multi-year ageing trials on test rigs and analyses of ropes already in field. The new ruling applies automatically to all new ropes and those already in the field. This step forms part of Liebherr's ongoing path towards establishing Fibre technology as the new standard in the tower crane market.

Permit-free from south to north: new Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3 mobile crane for Schlamann-Autokrane GmbH
The LTM 1055-3.3 is the second of four new Liebherr mobile cranes ordered by Schlamann-Autokrane GmbH this year. The new 55-tonne crane is the lightest 3-axle all-terrain crane on the market: it travelled from the Liebherr plant in Ehingen, Upper Swabia, to Nienburg in Lower Saxony without the need for complex authorisation procedures.
