FUNCTIONS AND ADVANTAGES OF THE CONSTRUCTION CRANE

Fascinatingly compact, powerful yet flexible: With the new series, Liebherr offers you a functional crane to make the work of building contractors more economical.

PERFORMANCE REDEFINED

The new Liebherr tower cranes are distinguished by outstanding performance, even under the toughest conditions. This is only possible if certain factors are right too: safety, functionality and ergonomics.

Easier operation

Discover our L cranes with Tower Crane Operating System 2 (Tower Crane OS 2) – the latest control system from Liebherr. This state-of-the-art operating system is at the heart of your future crane fleet. Every step has been thought through: a user-friendly interface, intuitive menu navigation, and intelligent assistance systems make crane operation easier than ever before. The system is always a step ahead; it’s fully updatable and ready for the digital future.

Responsive operation

Precast filigree slabs and fragile construction elements need careful handling. Our well-known Micromove function and selectable slewing gear modes ensure maximum precision for every construction project. Familiar radio remote control operation has also been optimised for the Tower Crane OS 2. You benefit from a standardised radio remote control for L and K cranes with clear display screens and a new user interface.

Sway Control

Keep full control of your load with automatic Sway Control. Movements that can cause loads to sway are automatically detected and actively counteracted via the intelligent Sway Control system. This ensures that your control commands take you safely to your intended destination.

Slewing limitation with graphical teach interface

Areas that need to be avoided when slewing with a load, e.g. rail tracks, preschools and power lines, can be easily and clearly excluded via the display.

WHICH COMPACT CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE?

The L series has the perfectly configured solution to meet any challenge. The 25 L is available with a radius of either 25.0 or 27.0 metres and the 33 L with a radius of 30 metres as well as two ballast variants. The simple standard concrete ballast is supplied to the site on the tractor vehicle where it can be quickly assembled. The steel full ballast means no additional transport and assembly costs.

950 kg at the jib head

25 L

33 L

30.0 m radius
1050 kg at the jib head

YOUR CHALLENGES – OUR SOLUTIONS

You face different challenges on every site. Cranes of the L series can master them all – because when developing the L series we focused on exactly what requirements you place on a crane of this class.

MULTIPLE CRANES

Thanks to different raised jib positions the L can be adjusted to the site situation with great ease. That means multiple cranes can work together in a very small area.

SPACE PROBLEMS

You don’t always need a roadblock. Thanks to the flexible support base, the crane’s support area can be reduced to less than 4 metres. The extremely small overhang in the transport position enables the cranes to be placed very close to the building trench or edge of the building.

SENSITIVE LOAD

Filigree prefabricated parts and fragile components have to be positioned gently. That is why loads can be positioned with great accuracy and held without jerking using the Micromove function.

DANGER ZONES

Railway tracks, nurseries, electricity cables – you can simply exclude all the areas where a load cannot be swung using the operating range limiting system.

HEAVY LOADS

What about a bit more? Simply reducing the length of the jib enables you to increase the lifting capacity.

DIFFICULT TRANSPORT

If the ground is too soft and the crane threatens to sink into it during transport, simply reduce the crane’s weight. The basic ballast can be removed easily and then refi tted quickly during the erection process.

2024: The new L crane series

The 25 L and 33 L are the new L cranes. In addition to ease of assembly and flexibility, the L series also features Liebherr's latest in-house control generation. With the Tower Crane OS 2, you are at the cutting edge of technology. This control system already fulfils the requirements of tomorrow. It also brings innovation and safety to your construction site.

2016: The introduction of the L1 series

With the first generation of the L1 crane series, we offer a functional crane that enables construction companies to operate economically. These hydraulic fast-erecting cranes combine power and compactness with the highest possible level of safety. You can expect a series that is ideally adapted to the requirements of your construction site and is also a sight to behold.

1949: THE START OF A SUCCESS STORY

Hans Liebherr, master builder, visionary and founder of the global group of companies develops the first mobile tower crane in the late 1940s.

Because it could be erected quickly and at low cost on site, it fast became the perfect tool for successful building contractors. Over 60 years of experience and more than 70,000 tower cranes later, this concept has reached a new dimension.
