Our efficiency champions are genuine all-rounders. Besides low power consumption, they also have impressively low noise levels, plenty of space for food, a long service life and enough power in reserve for when it really counts.

When it comes to efficiency, we don’t focus on only one factor. We keep our eye on several things at once. Or to put it another way: we believe that all good things come in fives.

Energy consumption: keeping it green

Our highly energy-efficient appliances allow you to contribute to environmental protection. The resource-saving operation also means reductions in CO2 emissions. However, you can also have a clear conscience with a Liebherr. We use natural refrigerants, for example. And in production we also fulfill our environmental responsibilities. For example, we are entirely switching over our European production sites to green energy.

Reduce electricity. Not power.

It sounds contradictory: reducing consumption and electricity costs while power stays high. How does that work? For one thing, our sensors keep getting more intelligent. It continually adapts cooling power to current usage. Liebherr appliances only use their full power reserves when it’s absolutely necessary, for example to cool down a large quantity of groceries after the weekly shop.

Silence is golden.

The boundaries between the kitchen and living areas are becoming more blurred in modern households. That’s why our appliances keep the noise to a minimum and are quiet as a whisper. In some cases, it even reaches an ultra-quiet 29 dB. We have the benefit of more than 40 years of acoustic research and our state-of-the-art sound measurement rooms, where all our appliances have to undergo intensive acoustic tests. We only stop when they have passed.

As big as you want: our cooling volume

We have the right appliances for all family sizes, living arrangements and space availabilities. From extra-large drawers down to the tiniest details, we make sure that not a litre of cooling volume is wasted, for example, by using convenient lighting solutions recessed in the housing. In short: With a Liebherr you can be sure you’ll have enough space – for everything you want and more.

You can rely on our refrigerators. At all times. We run tests to ensure all functional parts have a 15-year service life. And in the event of a problem, we guarantee spare parts will be available long-term. You will therefore have many years of pleasure from your Liebherr. This also benefits the environment. This is because the long service life significantly reduces energy and resource consumption.

Same efficiency. A different label.

With the new energy label for electronic appliances from March 1, 2021.

The previous energy label was only limited help when deciding what to purchase. In addition to class A you also had classes A+, A++ and A+++. The new label saves you from a fourth or fifth plus. Appliances are once again ranked on an efficiency scale from A to G.

What does the new label mean for Liebherr?

The introduction of the new labels has lit a fire under our innovation drive. We have re-optimized our appliances to put them in the best efficiency classes on the market. But we want to improve even these top results. That is why we are working for you on the innovations of tomorrow.

This is what the new EU energy label looks like.

1. The QR code for identifying the product in EPREL (European Product Database for Energy Labelling).

2. The model identifier for manual identification of the product in the EU’s EPREL database, e.g. using the article number.

3. The new efficiency scale from “A” to “G.” However, “G” is only intended for wine refrigerators.

4. The total volume of all freezer compartments.

5. The total volume of all cold storage and refrigerator compartments.

6. The noise level is now classified into classes “A” to “D.”

This efficiency has two advantages: they protect the environment. And they lower your electricity bill. The lower consumption has no impact on cooling: Your food will remain reliably fresh for longer.
