High safety and economy with active rear axle steering
Genuine know-how: The front axles of our cranes are mechanically controlled via the steering wheel, while the rear axles actively steer electrohydraulically depending on the steering angle and speed. This creates a dynamic system in which all axles of the vehicle can be steered.
Additional safety is provided by an automatic centering cylinder, which straightens the rear axles in the event of a fault. Two independent hydraulic circuits with a wheel-driven and motor-driven hydraulic pump ensure operation even if individual components fail. The system is also controlled via two separate computers.
