Where are fridges made that you don’t have decorate with postcards and magnets? That’s right. In Ochsenhausen (Germany). In Upper Swabia, we use our decades of experience, engineering skills and passion for detail to produce modern, energy-efficient fridges and freezers, in both the stand-alone and integrated ranges. Our appliances stand out thanks to their modern design and customer-focused solutions – for added comfort in your day-to-day.

Our main factory was founded in Ochsenhausen in 1954, and currently around 2000 people are employed here. The site has been steadily expanding ever since the plant opening in 1955. And since the opening of our customer centre in 2019, we now present our latest appliances in the exclusive atmosphere of around 350 m2 of showroom space. Come and visit us and get a taste of our enthusiasm for modern fridges and freezers.

Nearby to the oldest city in the world, you can find our Bulgarian factory. The city of Plovdiv, built across seven hills, has been a centre of commerce and craftsmanship since the days of the Ottoman Empire, which opened the gateway to the East.

Our factory in Marica, around 10 km away, was founded in 1999. Now, around 2000 employees manufacture high-quality fridges and freezers for trade and commerce. Since its foundation, the site has developed very dynamically: From an initial production of around 14,000 appliances per year, we now put out around 868,000 appliances per year. Against the spectacular backdrop of the Dolomites you will find our Lienz factory (Austria). With 1350 employees, Liebherr is one of the biggest employers in East Tirol. The location focuses on developing and producing energy-efficient fridges and freezers for both private and commercial use.

The factory has been part of the breathtaking scenery of the region since 1980. Current annual production is around 400,000 appliances, made up in particular of specialised and customisable products.

Our newest factory opened in 2018 in Aurangabad, a city in Maharashtra in western India. With its wide array of historical attractions, Aurangabad is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India.

Liebherr Appliances India Privat Limited specialises in the manufacture of high-quality fridge and freezer appliances for the Indian market. The new production site covers an area of 50 hectares. The current production capacity is around 500,000 appliances per year, expandable upon demand.

Our Liebherr Appliances Kluang Sdn. Bhd. production site is located in the state of Johor, in the south of Malaysia. The region has a long industrial tradition and plays an important role in the country’s economy.

The factory site in Kluang was originally founded in 1986 and was taken over by Liebherr in 2007. Around 300 expert and committed employees work here manufacturing commercial refrigerators and freezers. Yearly output is approximately 180,000 appliances.

Production is focussed on commercial refrigeration and freezing solutions, including ice cream chests, bottle coolers, and chest freezers for professional use. With modern production technology and high quality standards, the site makes a significant contribution to the Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH product range.
