Liebherr is investing in a new test bench in Colmar to optimise its crawler excavators

Liebherr France SAS has recently invested in a new test bench at its site in Colmar (France). This strategically important facility represents a significant step forward in the development and validation of crawler excavator designs – right on the doorstep of the engineering teams.

Liebherr-Australia delivers first R 9600 to Northern Star Resources at the Super Pit in Western Australia

Earlier this month, Northern Star Resources took delivery of its first ultra-class Liebherr excavator, a 600-tonne R 9600, at the Super Pit in Western Australia. The new machine joins 17 Liebherr machines already operating across Northern Star Resources’ operations. A second R 9600 is expected at the Super Pit in October.

Marcus Riedelsheimer Autokran Dienste has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3. The new 3-axle crane replaces an older crane from the previous model, the LTM 1055-3.2.

Würzburger Kranverleih takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1120-4.2 mobile crane

Würzburger Kranverleih und Bergungsdienst GmbH has acquired a new Liebherr LTM 1120-4.2 mobile crane. The 120-tonne crane delivers maximum performance on four axles. With its 66-metre-long telescopic boom, it is on a par with 5-axle mobile cranes.

Following a detailed planning phase and intensive work at the Liebherr site, the HS 8300.1 returned to the barge as good as new – and with a number of upgrades into the bargain.

First Liebherr excavators delivered to Gold Fields in Western Australia

Liebherr-Australia marked the beginning of its new partnership with Gold Fields in Australia with the delivery three new excavators. An R 9600 and an R 9400 excavator were delivered to Gruyere Gold Mine in May and a second R 9600 joined the fleet a month later.

Bridge construction in a bottleneck: Liebherr cranes provide support on the Swiss N16 national road

In the canton of Bern, Walo Bertschinger AG is rebuilding two bridges on the N16 national road between Tavannes and Biel on behalf of the Federal Roads Office. The construction site is situated in a narrow valley with a motorway, railway line and river running alongside it; furthermore, two existing bridges are immediately adjacent to the site. Since July 2024, a total of seven Liebherr cranes have been supporting the construction work; the project is due to be completed by December 2026.

Twins in the fleet: Völkl opts for the Liebherr LTM 1150-5.3 mobile crane

Kran Völkl GmbH & Co. KG from Straubing is relying on technology from Ehingen to modernise its crane fleet: following the acquisition of an LTC 1050-3.1 and an LTM 1150-5.3 around two years ago, the Lower Bavarian crane and transport company now operates a further LTM 1150-5.3. With a twelve-tonne axle load, the LTM 1150-5.3 carries nine tonnes of counterweight on public roads, enabling it to carry out many jobs without the need for an additional vehicle to transport ballast.

ATS relies on proven quality: new Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane modernises fleet

The Luxembourg-based crane company ATS Cranes S.A. is modernising its fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1. The powerful 230-tonne crane replaces an existing mobile crane and combines high lifting capacity with innovative technology and a striking design.
