The Liebherr Group is represented in India through a sales-and-service company and three manufacturing companies representing the activities of ten Liebherr Divisions.

Sales and service activities

Liebherr India Pvt. Ltd, based in Navi Mumbai, was incorporated in 2006 and employs a workforce of some 210 people. This company provides sales and service for the product lines of Earthmoving, Mining, Construction Cranes, Concrete Technology, Mobile Cranes, Maritime Cranes, Components and Domestic Appliances to customers in India and the neighbouring countries.

Liebherr India Pvt. Ltd maintains a service network throughout the Indian subcontinent with qualified engineers in all major ports as well construction and mining project sites. Technical support, customer service and spare part logistics are coordinated from the offices and warehouses in Kolkata and from the Mumbai headquarter.

The Aerospace division covers the complete South East Asian markets from its Singapore headquarters, which includes overhaul and spare-part services located there.

Manufacturing activities

The manufacturing company Liebherr CMCtec India Pvt. Ltd, located in Pune was founded in 2008. On a property of 55 acers manufacturing facilities have been established including 8,000 m² of covered ground. The manufacturing programme of Liebherr CMCtec India Pvt. Ltd is focussing on Tower Cranes.

Liebherr Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd (MTI), located in Bangalore. was founded in 2004 as a Joint Venture between Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH based in Kempten, Germany, (60 %) and Francis Klein & Comp. Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore (40 %). The Products produced are Gear Hobbing Machines and Gear Shaping Machines with main parts imported from Germany and final assembly and final acceptance at Liebherr Machine Tools in India. The company is accepted in India as a leading supplier of gear cutting machines to automobile, industrial gear boxes and earthmoving equipment manufacturers.
