Liebherr cranes elevate climate science above the Amazon rainforest canopy

Tower cranes are built for construction sites. Deep inside a protected section of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, four Liebherr 85 EC-B units are doing something entirely different: lifting scientists above the rainforest canopy to study how the world's largest tropical forest may respond to rising CO₂ levels in the coming decades.

When the opera is reflected in the lake: Liebherr 150 EC-B flat-top crane erects the stage set for “La traviata”

The stage set for Giuseppe Verdi’s “La traviata” was created on the Bregenz Lake Stage. At its centre is a 25-metre-high mirrored wall made up of 86 fragments. During the construction in spring 2026, a Liebherr 150 EC-B 8 Litronic supported the work directly by the lake.

Stronger together: Liebherr brings Nordic tower crane dealers to Sweden for Nordic Tower Crane Days

Liebherr Tower Cranes and its Swedish partner Alfab held the first Nordic Tower Crane Days on 20 and 21 May 2026. Around 40 participants from 14 partner companies gathered for the event at the Alfab site in Västerås – from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Liebherr high-top crane scaled Finland’s tallest bridge pylon in Helsinki

A Liebherr 630 EC-H 40 Litronic tower crane supported the construction of the Kruunuvuori Bridge in Helsinki, Finland's longest and tallest bridge. Between winter 2022 and 2025, the crane was deployed by the TYL Kruunusillat, to execute the lifting operations required for the bridge's central 135-metre diamond-shaped pylon.
