Liebherr‑Canada Ltd. is pleased to announce the sale of a new Liebherr LTM 1300‑6.4 mobile crane to Richard Steel, a leading crane services provider operating throughout the Ottawa and Gatineau region with more than 50 years of experience. This addition marks another step in the company’s continued investment in high‑performance lifting technology.
The LTM 1300‑6.4 will join Richard Steel’s growing fleet of Liebherr machines, which currently includes two LTM 1150-5.3, the LTM 1100-4.1, LTM 1110-5.2, and LTM 1400-7.1.
The LTM 1300‑6.4 represents one of the most advanced 300‑tonne class mobile cranes available today. With its 90‑metre telescopic boom, LICCON3 control system, VarioBase® Plus, VarioBallast®, and AutoBallast, the crane delivers exceptional reach, lifting capacity, and setup efficiency. These capabilities make it ideally suited for tower crane erection and dismantling, as well as high‑demand taxi crane work, both of which are core specialties for Richard Steel.
“The LTM 1300‑6.4 brings a new level of capability to our operations,” said Brian Campbell, Owner of Richard Steel. “Its combination of strength, reach, and digital systems gives our team the flexibility to take on a wider range of challenging lifts. Liebherr has been a dependable partner for us, both in the quality of their cranes and the support behind them. This new addition positions us well to continue delivering reliable results for our clients.”
The addition of the LTM 1300‑6.4 underscores Richard Steel’s commitment to investing in equipment that enhances efficiency, safety, and jobsite versatility. As project demands grow more complex, companies are increasingly turning to cranes that deliver both high‑end engineering and consistent day‑to‑day reliabilities, qualities that have long defined Liebherr’s mobile crane lineup.
