Efficient machines for harsh conditions: XPower wheel loaders in the far north

GE Maskintjänst is a Swedish family-run company that carries out earthworks and construction work. The company has several Liebherr machines, which are used as service machines in loading and unloading areas, for material transport, for the removal of excavated material and for maintenance work. Efficiency in the mining industry: Eti Maden opts for Liebherr Crawler Dozers

The Turkish mining company Eti Maden drives the global boron industry forward with innovative machinery and advanced technology. At its Kirka mine in western Turkey, the renowned organisation uses a Liebherr PR 766 Crawler Dozer specially designed for tough mining operations. Head of Kirka mine operations Yalçın Sakarya highlights how the machine's hydrostatic drive drastically reduces fuel consumption and lengthens the engine's service life. Robust design and efficient operation make the PR 766 the ideal machine for heavy-duty mining operations.

Liebherr at IFAT 2024 in Munich

Liebherr will be present at IFAT 2024, the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, which will take place in Munich from 13 to 17 May 2024, with a stand measuring around 280 m². In Hall C5, Stand 151/250, Liebherr will be exhibiting machines specially designed for use in waste management and recycling. The new LH 40 M Port Elektro electric material handling machine will be celebrating its trade fair premiere in Germany, as well as the new GMM 35-5 multi-tine grapple. With the L 507 E and the L 566 XPower, Liebherr will be showing two representatives from its wheel loader portfolio. The Liebherr T 60-9s, T 41-7s and T 33-10s telescopic handlers will also be part of the exhibition appearance. In the area of digitalisation, Liebherr will be showing the LiXplore® camera monitor system.

Este año volvió a celebrarse en Francia la mayor carrera de motos de arena del mundo «Enduropale du Touquet Pas-de-Calais». Desde hace más de 30 años, reúne a entusiastas de todo el mundo del deporte del motor, destacándose como un evento deportivo desafiante en condiciones extremas. Con el apoyo del distribuidor de Liebherr TOUFFLIN, la empresa BOULARD TP (Beaurainville Pas-de-Calais) realizó un excelente trabajo en la preparación y mantenimiento de la pista de carreras, utilizando un buldócer Liebherr PR 716.

Liebherr’s R 924 G8 crawler excavator presented at the Intermat show

Liebherr will be presenting the R 924 G8 crawler excavator at the Intermat show in Paris from 24 to 27 April 2024. Powerful and versatile, the 24 tonne machine effectively combines high productivity, flexible operation and precision. The R 924 G8 presented at Intermat is equipped with a Leica Geosystems semi-automatic machine control system factory-fitted in Colmar (France), along with the following new options: a Skyview 360° camera and a urea filling pump.

Strong performers: Liebherr presents new mid-sized wheel loader series

Liebherr has redeveloped and fundamentally revised its range of mid-sized wheel loaders. The newly-designed lift arm ensures maximum breakout, holding and lowering forces. It has optimised z-bar kinematics and improved working hydraulics. Increases in engine power and tipping loads prepare the wheel loaders for demanding operations in various sectors, such as excavation, recycling or log handling. The new development of the mid-sized wheel loader series from Liebherr is also characterised by a powerful design and intelligent assistance systems. These include, for example, active personnel detection with brake assistant or the fully automatic LIKUFIX quick-coupler system.

On an icy mission: HS 8200

Around 250 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, Liebherr is part of the largest construction project in Greenland's history. Munk Civil Engineering is carrying out dredging work for two airport projects with the HS 8200 duty cycle crawler crane. The Arctic conditions and logistics pose a particular challenge.

Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen invests in new assembly hall for battery-electric wheel loaders

After roughly ten months of construction, Liebherr has commissioned a new assembly hall especially for the manufacture of battery-electric wheel loaders at their plant in Bischofshofen. The group’s first electric wheel loader, the L 507 E, has been rolling off the assembly line here since March 2024. In total, Liebherr has invested over €2.2 million in the new manufacturing facilities. The nearly 1000 m² production area is designed for a maximum yearly output of up to 500 battery-electric wheel loaders.

Impressive qualities: Hans Dömkes GmbH continues to rely on Liebherr wheel loaders

For more than ten years, Liebherr wheel loaders have been used at the premises of the recycling company Hans Dömkes GmbH in Duisburg. Three wheel loaders – an L 538, an L 566 XPower® and an L 576 XPower® with High Lift arms – handle some of the material processed at the site. The specialists in recycling building materials state the fuel efficiency and excellent workmanship of the wheel loaders as the main reason for the long-standing business relationship with Liebherr.
