Bombardier Transportation North America, Montreal, Quebec (Canadá), seleccionó a Liebherr-Transportation Systems para el suministro de sistemas de regulación de nivel para 14 tranvías que se operarán en la ciudad de Waterloo en el estado federal de Ontario (Canadá). El suministro está previsto para el otoño de 2014.
El sistema de regulación de nivel que Liebherr fabrica en su fábrica en Lindenberg (Alemania) se instala en el carro giratorio del vagón y adapta el nivel de entrada al vehículo a la altura del bordillo, por lo que la entrada y salida es más fácil, sobre todo, para personas con minusvalías.
El nuevo proyecto sigue ampliando la asociación entre Bombardier y Liebherr para el desarrollo de una familia de sistemas hidráulicos para vehículos ferroviarios.
