LTC 1050-3.1E - Zero emissions, full power.
The accelerating climate revolution demands drive concepts which reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. That is why our new LTC 1050-3.1 compact crane has an electric motor in addition to its conventional power unit. This enables crane movements to be powered electrically as an option. The new version of the compact 50 tonne crane therefore helps to reduce CO2 emissions and meets the requirements for operating on “zero emissions” sites. The LTC crane takes the electricity for crane operations direct from the site. The compact crane retains all its familiar properties regardless of whether it is powered by the electric motor or the internal combustion engine. If the power supply is sufficient, its performance in electrical mode is comparable with when it is powered by the engine. If the power supply is lower, the performance of the crane is reduced accordingly.

ECOmode minimises both fuel consumption and noise emissions when operating the crane superstructure. The crane operator sets the required working speed using the control lever. The LICCON2 control system calculates the perfect engine speed for the diesel engine.
The RemoteDrive remote control enables the crane to be controlled from outside the driver’s cabin. This is not only possible during crane operations, but also whilst driving on the site. This delivers greater safety and comfort as the crane operator has a better view of problem areas as he can be right next to them. In other words, the operator can move himself to the areas with difficult access.
VarioBase makes the crane’s support system variable. It enables each outrigger to be extended to a different length. This enhances safety – particularly in constricted spaces. And what's more, the crane’s lifting capacities are significantly increased, particularly over the outriggers and depending on the configuration.
The crane cabin on this crane can be telescoped into the air with infinite adjustment. The better view from above of the load and working environment significantly increases safety during crane operations – and driver comfort is also massively enhanced.

Mobile cranes with the E symbol have an optional electric motor for crane operations. They can be switched between the diesel-hydraulic and electro-hydraulic power unit for crane operations flexibly and quickly. It also means that this crane type will satisfy all zero emissions requirements at the site, in terms of both CO2 and noise.
