With the LH 30 M Industry material handler, Liebherr presents a powerful all-round talent at Maxpo 2019. The LH 30 is available with either a wheeled or crawler undercarriage. The material handler impresses with its versatility in different applications, such as scrap recycling, as well as handling general and bulk cargo.
The material handler showcased at Maxpo is designed for challenging recycling tasks. For environments with heavy dust the LH 30 M is equipped with a large mesh radiator, a fully automatic reversible fan drive, as well as an air pre-filter with dust discharge. The trade fair exhibit is also configured with a straight, 7.80 m long boom and an angled, 6.0 m long industrial stick. The material handler includes a hydraulic alternator system from GTS with 17 kW, whereby it is possible to attach a corresponding magnetic plate. Other components of the machine configuration are the infinitely variable hydraulic cab elevation, as well as the 4-point outrigger, which can be operated via proportional controls on the joysticks.
Power plus speed – Performance redefined
The Liebherr LH 30 M material handler is equipped with a robust and reliable 4-cylinder in-line engine from Liebherr, which returns 140 kW / 190 hp. The Liebherr SCR technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction) is installed in order to comply with the requirements of the Stage IV exhaust emissions standard. Thanks to the optimally designed engine power the system disposes of a high torque for powerful and fast movements. Moreover, load peaks are skilfully compensated for, meaning that the maximum torque is available at all times for the highest level of material handling performance. In combination with the higher pump delivery rate and the enclosed slewing mechanism circuit, maximum acceleration and the highest level of speed in the working movements are guaranteed.
The LH 30 M combines intelligent electronics with sensitive hydraulics and ensures precise and finely-controlled work with fast and powerful movements at the same time. The cleverly conceived machine control system guarantees optimal adaptation of the hydraulics to the respective use. Speed and strength are there where they are needed.
Economical technology and clever maintenance concept
Liebherr relies on state-of-the-art engine technology with intelligent machine controls that optimise the interplay of the drive components in terms of their degree of efficiency. Liebherr Power Efficiency (LPE) enables machine operation in the area of the lowest specific fuel use for less consumption and greater efficiency with maximum performance. The machine's operating point is optimised thanks to the low engine speed of 1,700 rpm and high torques. Moreover, the enclosed slewing mechanism circuit feeds the braking power back into the system during slowing of the uppercarriage.
The Liebherr LH 30 M material handler also impresses with its service-oriented machine layout with a host of maintenance benefits. Maintenance is performed quickly, simply and safely. Maintenance costs and downtimes are reduced to a minimum.
When technology provides comfort
The newly designed operator's workstation sets standards in terms of comfort and offers the best conditions for healthy and productive work with high levels of concentration. The large windows, as well as the rear and lateral monitoring, make it possible for the operator to always have an optimal view of his working area and the surrounding area of the machine. Both the display unit with touch screen colour display, as well as the control elements and the Comfort driver's seat, are optimally coordinated and form a perfect ergonomic unit. The foldable left armrest permits easy and safe entry to the cab. The joysticks with standard proportional controls via 4-way mini-joysticks also increase the operating comfort in addition to the functionality. Working and travel movements can be carried out at the same time without having to alternate hands. Abandoning the steering column in favour of joystick steering provides additional legroom and a clear view of the working area.
