Next to the presentation of products made by several divisions of the Liebherr Group, Liebherr-Aerospace and Transportation Systems had the opportunity to present their different mobility applications from aerospace via rail to road.

We impressed the CIIE 2018 visitors with an eye-catcher from the aerospace sector: the main landing gear of the prestigious ARJ21 aircraft. Furthermore, they were able to have a look at an innovative, 100% green and thus environmental friendly rolling stock heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit which operates with air as cooling refrigerant and functions even under extreme conditions such as heat and cold. Last but not least - a cooled charger cable system enabling a full charge of a new electrical vehicle in 15 minutes was on display.

We welcomed several high ranking Chinese delegations and also Christian Hirte, Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy who informed himself about today’s and tomorrow’s mobility solutions made by Liebherr.

Next to different customers from all over China, also representatives from our valued customer CRRC met us at the Liebherr booth. Component manufacturers visited us also, discussing air cycle technology which uses no chemical refrigerant but just ambient air. Furthermore, we showed hydraulic actuation as a solution in order to improve the running behavior of railway vehicles.

With the participation in CIIE, we demonstrated impressively Liebherr’s collaboration with the Chinese industry and our commitment to further provide innovations from abroad and to also develop future technology in China with a strong local presence. A presence that has lasted already for 40 years and that is part of Liebherr’s long term strategy in the country.
